Can you set it to start measuring from the top of the device? (so not take the length of the device in the measurement)

Also if you double press the button its calculates square meters automatically from the last 2 measurements

I change the batteries and it keeps telling me dead battery even tho with a new one.

That could be a fault I guess. I'd check to see if it's still under warranty. You might be able to get a replacement.

@@mrjonclayton same thing for me. I turn it on, the display flashes and then it turns off. I just put in new batteries to be sure.

How do you change it to ft and inches ??

Hi Colin, I'm afraid you can't change the units on this particular laser measure. It's metric only, no imperial.
