Man I'm loving these reactions lol. You guys are fucking hilarious, but you're also really into the characters and story so you're picking up on tons of dynamics and have interesting observations and discussions. I'm going to tell you, that your discussion on the Oaths is very on point, and is EXACTLY the reason why people in the books don't trust Aes Sedai despite the Oaths.
I absolutely love watching you guys debate some of the points of the show. It is exactly the same type of back and forth that book readers had while the books were being released and the series wasn’t finished yet. It’s the “not black and white“ feeling to the story that fueled such a strong conversation among fans for such a long time. And to see three non-book readers get into some of the same debates is awesome!
Your discussions are great to listen to. I'm glad you're watching this blind and having the kinds of discussions this fandom has been missing since the books ended.
They haven't mentioned this in the show, but it's been a couple hundred years since their village was visited by an Aes Sedai. There are tons of stories claiming you can't trust them, and Emond's Fielders' have a very high distrust of the outside world. Their distrust of Aes Sedai runs deep.

Another great reaction video. I have read the entire series and your perception of the plot and events that happen has for the most part been on point. In regards to Moiraine and how she answers questions, remember her discussion with Egwene when she asked about the three oaths. Moiraine asked for the exact verbiage and then stated that words and how we use them are important. The first oath is "Speak no word that is not true." So, when an Aes Sedai answer a question the words are true, but may not be the entire truth. I know others mentioned this below but Aes Sedai are notorious for twisting the truth. I know you guys asked this last episode; the Wisdom's name is Nynaeve.

Moiraine sinking the ferry in that manner has always been a major point of contention amongst fans of the books, and really serves to highlight that there really is not a black & white morality to this world. It comes across as a very "good vs. evil" trope initially, but the more things get into it you see that there is a lot more nuance to it than that. To your point of her destroying the ferry in a whirlpool vs simply blowing it up, I think that with the level of exhaustion she had at the time that was actually the least power she could have used to accomplish the task. Generally (and I don't think this would be a spoiler, but... well, just in case SPOILER WARNING) women are stronger with air and water than fire and earth when it comes to the One Power, and Moiraine is especially strong with air. With those elements and using them to re-direct the flow of the river to cause a whirlpool rather than physically destroying the ferry it would actually take less of the power to accomplish the task using the momentum of the water, with the downside of not really being able to stop it once it got going. I don't think she ever intended the ferryman to die, there was ample options for him to find a way to safety either with the group or on his own, but he chose to try and save it and return to the other side after he saw what was happening.
Not to mention, though picking apart a weave is POSSIBLE, I don't think that Aes Sedai in the current point we are at know how/ can without exploding themselves or creating a backlash that could kill or still them.
@@prometheus3498 she couldn’t have channeled to do that. That would be using the one power as a weapon, and she’s oathbound against that except against shadow spawn or in last defense of her life. They’d both already offered to take him to safety but he declined. It’s easy to second guess these decisions, but in the heat of the moment everybody thought they were doing what was the best course of action even if they were diametrically opposed, that’s the chaos of the situation.
Honestly, I think Moiraine just didn't give a fuck about that dude. She has good goals, but she'll absolutely grind the ruin the Dragon's life and grind their soul into dust if it gives them a better chance at defeating the Dark One

Man with the boat doesn't die in the books... BUT right after she sinks the boat, Moraine tells them that she would kill all of them rather then let the bad guys have them. It is meant to be frighteningly difficult to tell is Moraine is good or bad.
The thing that the Whitecloak eats at the beginning is indeed a small bird. It's also a real thing, a French delicacy called ortolan. A small songbird is force-fed and then drowned in (and marinated in) brandy, and eaten whole after cooking. It's banned in the US, and France actually now as well, due to animal cruelty.

My dudes! You crushed it. I've read the books and love your takes, keep it up. It's so refreshing to see people enjoy my favourite story ever.
Literally the best reactions. I be re-watching these. They are so entertaining.
Purple man on the right is a genius. Love all of you 3, but purple man is like 3 steps ahead all the way through!
The old man definitely killed himself, he jumped into the water, and even if he had got across, what would’ve happened? They’re definitely not clearing a path for him
The world was very modern. In the first episode start at the 4 minute mark. All those mountains were actually skyscrapers.
Yes, our current world is the very far past in the show. Something like 7000 years in our future.
Guys this is the best reaction video I’ve seen on the wheel of time. Your humor and the debate you have with it sets you apart from the rest. Consider me subscribed.
Man with the boat doesn't die in the books... BUT right after she sinks the boat, Moraine tells them that she would kill all of them rather then let the bad guys have them. It is meant to be frighteningly difficult to tell is Moraine is good or bad.
My favourite channel now. Your faces when Rand was coughing up that bat!!
- sister giggles.
“This ain’t the internet stop browsing” bwahahah perfect 🤣😂
Lol ur Perrin "taking care" joke made me laugh so hard.
So happy you guys making more of these. Your take on the Rand (redhead)/Egwene relationship is good stuff. Love the reactions and the discussion!
Really liking how it's only Episode 2 and you're already discussing morals! Really astute when it comes to details! Looking forward to Episode 3 reaction!
Best ad hoc joke: "That was Sea Biscuit's last ride"
You guys make me smile!
I ❤ your reviews! And, your theories! I want to spill all the tea, but watching you guys speculating is so much fun!
Keep these awesome reviews coming!
Thank you for watching 😅🙏🏾 -DRE
These reactions are now Must-See YT in our house. Keep'em coming!
Getting to see this show through your eyes is bloody brilliant! I've read the books several times (yes..all 14 of them) and just seeing you 3 react to all these elements that I've loved for over 20 years brings me joy in ways I can't describe!
They're not really beefing about nothing. She chose to leave him behind and become an apprentice to Nynaeve(the Wisdom) but when that fell out for her, she wants to act like nothing happened. Don't do my boy Rand dirty like that.
Haha right!
"If I could do it all over again...I would leave you again" -Egwene in a nutshell =)
I love watching yall react to this! The humor's always on point and its really interesting seeing how deep yall get into the analysis (and how accurate yall are a lot of the time lol). Keep it coming, I'm excited for yall to see what's coming next!
I love your discussions! Truly entertaining! Can't wait for Episode 3!
Thank you, Gents. Y'all're funny! I have read all the books, and listening to you trying to piece together the story is awesome! Keep it up, please!
I love listening and watching your reactions. I cracked up laughing at the “SeaBiscuit” comment.
You guys have the only "reaction" videos worth watching for this series. Keep it up!
This ain't the internet, stop browsing. Bruv, i'm gonna remember that one, lol
In case you haven't heard, every episode has an approximately 3 minutes long bonus clip that you can watch through the X-Ray feature accessible in the menu while the episode is playing. The clips are animated, and expand on the back story of the world
Boys looooooved the moral debate about the Taren Ferry.... And the rand and egwene romance dynamic. You guys are so spot on when you are describing everyone's characters, I am flooded brother. That means the show is doing something right. And it gives me LYFE!!!!! Kodus
Your commentary and discussion is so much fun to watch. Subbed 😄
I'm glad to have found this educational channel, new word learnd today "yoos". Great reaction and super cool discussion afterwards!
They treated Seabiscuit like he was an actual biscuit!
That one had me in stiches.
The three of you have such great insights and pay attention to the subtleties. I am so happy the UA-cam algorithm brought you to my suggested page. Looking forward to how you react to the rest.
I've never really enjoyed reaction videos until now. Your theories and discussion are on point! Just FYI all Aes Sedai (like "queen") refer to other Aes Sedai as "Sisters."
'this aint the internet stop browsing' *wheeeeze*
Lol -DRE
25:55. "I heeeeard some whistlin'". Good catch, Brandon. I think that means a certain character from Episode 1 is there but we don't see him. For a bunch of dudes who say they haven't read the books you're doing a good job of following the story and making some decent predictions.
You guys are hilarious 😂 I love your commentary so much!
Y’all have the pulse on this story. I am so glad I found you through The Dusty Wheel. * the wheel weaves as the wheel wills *
When started wandering like that in shadar logoth in the books, I had the same reaction u guys had.
Yall got my ass binging these reacts. The WoT fandom needs to find this channel for real. Subbed for more
You are a REAL ONE!!! We appreciate ya!!
-Adison
Did you hear the whistling in Shadar Logoth before Mat gets up and finds the dagger? We hear the same whistling when the peddler Padan Fain rides into the Two Rivers with his wagon in Episode 1. 😉
So glad I found you guys. Hilarious! HUGE Fan of the books and you're picking up on so much underlying stuff! Loving the INSIGHTS! Looking forward to more. Thank you!
The Aes Sedai are a complex group should you trust them or not trust them? Um yes to both. The Ferryman is the perfect example, morally gray situation.
28:51 LMAO The look the middle guy gave to the purple dudes pun
I am SO. IMPRESSED. with your observations and intuitions. Amazing. Keep it up.
Too soon! He said too soon 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 My fault...lol
-Adison
Y'all are actually going in exactly the right direction with your speculation. Good job
Wow. It's great to see you guys trying to work out what is happening and what's going to happen.
You're getting more things correct on the going to happen things than you realize I think. I'm enjoying this more than I should be! hahaha
Another great breakdown! I appreciate that you are having fun with the show being new to the story, and you have a fresh perspective on the characters. The thing with all the characters are that they are country folk that are thrown into this terrifying world, and having to deal with it. Plus all the hardships. These characters will definitely progress over time, right now they are still just out of the simple life they ran from. They grow and change and have other things that challenge them. Love what you guys are doing, and keep it up!!!
