Cool little setup! Great for home backup as a UPS for devices like medical equipment, appliances, and the like. Plus there's totally a whole camping or off grid building aspect for using power tools too! Good video!!
I have actually used the bluetti and jackery all week. I destroyed my cell phone charger and the bluetti has saved me with the wireless charger on top.
I am jealous, they can send me a Bluetti any time. :) Good review, thanks Seth!!
Great review! No nonsense. Thank you for putting in the time.
I really like the Bluetti. It just simply works. Thank you for watching.
I want to buy one of these but I don't know which solar panel I don't see a link for the solar panel. Can you use it while you're charging it that's what I need to know the most cuz if I'm riding my bike I'm going to use it while I'm riding my bike I can put it on the wagon
This unit is not a UPS. That means it does not have pass through power. The AC cannot be used at the same time it is charging.
I love this one. I searched for comparison videos of eb55, ac50s, & eb70. I love all 3 but they don't all have the same color options on Amazon. I like this one in blue & the eb70 in red. The ac50s I like in Orange. Didn't realize Amazon had the eb70s (800watt-Sapphire) vs eb70 (700watt-Carmine Red)
I have thoroughly enjoyed this 1. It has enough power to run most things that I need in the house. And the wireless cellphone charger has been nice.
Cool devise looks interesting
This will get u started
My EB55 should be here in the next few days... Also from my understanding of other peoples reviews, the % display will show 100% from 81-100% Show 80% for 61-80% and so on and that's why your saw suddenly made it go from 80% to 60% so fast because it was probably somewhere just over 61% from using it B4!!! Not a huge deal, but I wanted other people who are interested to know this little quirk...
Update: I got it and I like it. I haven't put it through any testing, but lots of YTppl have so I'm sure it's gtg... my 100w panel was inputting 63w in good sunlight too
The fans also seem to run almost all the time. I think it uses more power with the fans then what I have plunged in.
Do you guys see this guys face? That’s the face of somebody who owns a LifePo4 battery AND a 200w folder. 😎
Haha it is a nice feeling to have such power.
@@LandtoHouse people have no idea how far we have came in the past five years!! Just thinking about the EB55 puts a giant grin on my face. It’s like when high-speed Internet came along vs dial up 😂
There will be a review on the Jackery 1000 coming up next. It runs my angle grinder with ease! So amazing.
@@LandtoHouse yeah I can definitely see the appeal with the 1000! Can’t wait to watch it
The sun is not always out in my neck of the woods so solar charging is not my priority. I was supposed to get the EB55 with but when I saw the Ecoflow River Max can charge via wall outlet in less than two hours. I went with the River Max which also has a lot more capacity.
No if you bought the one priced at $500 it does not the eb55 is 700watts the eco flow is 600 watts and its a pound heavier. Also anything with quick charge won't be able to sustain that over time. Slow charge is always better for the life of the battery.
@@ThouArtOfWar0724 There is always going to be trade-offs. Like bigger screens on mobilephones will reduce battery life, but were still using big screens. To me, fast charging is more important. No battery will last forever, no matter how much you take care of it.
The BLUETTI EB55 has a 537Wh LiFePO4 battery for long battery life, quick charging, and years of use available with over 2500 charge cycles before capacity will drop below 80% . The Ecoflow River Max 576Wh batteries are only rated for 500 charge cycles.
Neat product and nice testing. How about testing how long it runs your refrigerator and the TV/Cable as though your power was really out?
I also have to laugh a little, I suggested you build a DIY one some time back for working at the tiny house and flume/rampump. LOL
I'm probably going to do a side-by-side comparison of this one and the jackery 1000 on Tools Tech and Gear. Running the TV, Internet and refrigerator would be a really good test.
Great video..I bought the Bluetti eb55 and I'm hoping it works for me..I bought this power station primarily for power outages. I have a 120 watt solar panel..can I connect its plug to a 5.5x2.1mm adapter then connct to a xt60 adapter that comes with the bluetti.
great review! I just ordered one of these and I already have a solarsaga 60 watt solar panel from jackery, what adaptor would i need to use that panel with this unit untill i can afford the correct panel? thank you very much!
Thanks for the video, I have the same power station ,if my solar panel 200watts is always plug , if I use a 120 volt fan the electricity will come from the solar panel or the battery ?
Does the fan always go on and off every 5 minutes during solar charging?
Mine is doing this and very loud I cannot have peace and quiet unless I disconnect the solar.
Even on cloudy/cool days it does this anything above 20 - 40 watts the fan kicks in.
I think I have a faulty one or solar panel is the issue?
“I found that if you turn these off it saves the battery.” 🤣
New Subscriber needing some advice Please! I just ordered a Vevor 12V, 53qt dual zone car fridge and a Acopower 100W 12V monocrystalline solar panel that will installed on top of our Suburban. That’s all the room on top cause of the roof cargo boxes. Using Bluetti EB55. Will this be enough solar for it keep up running that fridge?(nothing else). should I add a narrow flexible solar panel (say 50watt) on one my cargo boxes? Problem is I hear nothing but bad about those. Thank for any insight or ideas!
Can you charge it while using it like you can the jackery? Guess I better wait
Noice !, maybe try to do a DIY on one ;-)
That would be wild!
@@LandtoHouse there are lots of them on youtube, if you want to have examples and usually half price and as good ;-)
I know it’s not apples-to-apples re the capacity, but how does the Oupes stack up? Reviews of the eb70 aren’t 100%, but the eb55 seems better. I’m looking maybe for 2 units-one for laptop/modem/router/phone & pad charging and another for a home fridge and freezer. Charging in the Oupes seems very slow. Maybe 2 of the eb55?
From all my testing of power stations I would go with Jackery, Bluetti, or BigBlue. Those 3 are the winners in my book. eb55 is a great unit.
Very good home back up solar power how can I access that beautiful product. And how much does it cost thanks for your reply
I have one of these, charges great compared to the Jackery. It does seem to use more power then the jackery but it charges faster. I don't like how the watt meter works, seems to always read zero.
in. Has a 700 pure sine wave inverter, the batteries are 500 watt hour lithium ion phosphate
Jackery wants me to post the explorer 1000 on oct 17. It is also a nice product. The bluetti has been fun to use though.
The things I liked with the Jackery was the display is much more accurate then this little bluetti but the bluetti has a better battery chemistry then the Jackery. The bluetti also recharges much faster then Jackery.
Maybe I'll make a video on real use of the products so people can decide for themselves.
Jackerys display is very nice. I ran an angle grinder on it for 20ish min cutting concrete board. I was impressed.
When testing these products for a power outage. Think of cold. Plug in space heaters and refrigerators
I will have a refrigerator test coming up soon with the Jackery 1000. These won't run a heater or at least not long.
Can you solar charge the unit and use it at the same time
Yes you can, I do it all the time.
@@worthmor thanks
Yes for sure. A friend of mine keeps his computer connected to one and it is plugged in to the wall as a battery backup.
@@LandtoHouse Great , Thanks
@@worthmor thanks, same question I had.
Did it take a long time to received?
No less than a week.
Can it charge at the same time you are using power from it
Yes it sure can!
Nice setup and thanks for the detailed video. Question - with 200watts of solar coming into the EB55, is any of that energy getting wasted given the EB55's limited capacity? Weighing using just 100 watts of solar vs 200 watts with my EB55 but don't want to have more solar than the EB55 can handle...
Hi
Im a huge fan
Plz shout out all is the shout out just you replying
Plz
And when is the video of the oudside powerbox coming out
I love the vids keep it up
Outdoor power box is almost done. Next is to install the electronics in there.
The EB55 would have been a great power station if the wall charging would take less time.
It charges at 200 watts, what more do you want? You can also add more wattage with the addition of solar panels.
@@worthmor5146 Faster charging means less down time don't you agree? How come Ecoflow's River Max can be charged from the wall outlet in less than 2 hours compared to the EB55?
This unit allows a 200 W solar panel and the wall plug at the same time. A total of approximately 400 W.
With dual charging at 400 W it can be a lot shorter
@@stevenojobs7492 ecoflow is a nice unit however that charge time is for a 288wh battery. The EB55 has a 537wh battery.
Most of them don't last, so the advantage that type of battery gives you is worth nothing. What's the use of thousands of full charges without cell reduction when the actual device is prone to breaking down, with no means to reset.
Love Bluetti but their solar panels are way over priced same with Ecoflow.
You’ll never get a good unit. They are all Defective and zero customer support. Good luck dealing with the Chinese.
They do actually have OK customer support, but the rest you said is true.
Yet another Seth-review with no comparison to a competitor....oh wait Jackery didn't send ya free-bee? how awesome... Where do I check the bluetti informercial box? This channel has become a clinic on why viewers unsubscribe. Seth, most people probably enjoy your fluids based technical descriptions followed up with solution centric reactions but when ya trot out some vendor gear that honestly you couldn't give a sh.t about... you come off as compromised....not something viewers seek out.
The Jackery will be coming out late in oct. I have used the bluetti personally for 3 weeks. It is a nice product.
This viewer appreciates him showing the alternative energy and off grid products and solutions. The Bluetti fits right in with ramp pumps, micro hydro, his own solar setup, etc. on this channel. It's nice to see a commercially available product alongside his DIY solutions.
The solar aspect is so handy to have!
I agree, a direct comparison against the Jackery and the River Max would be a great video.
I have the jackery 1000 video ready to go live late oct. My tools tech and gear channel will have the two side by side with more heavy testing.
