As a kid i remember going to Bournemouth in 1971 a saturday golden rail i think.A class 25 7568 took us from sheffield to cricklewood yard.Here the 25 came off and class 33 no 6580 coupled on and took us the rest of the journey to Bournemouth.This must have been some of the route our train took.It will be 50 yrs ago in August!Enjoyed the cab ride.

They have recently replaced that stretch with new semaphores

No we don’t have our own personal Class 66’s , good idea with some of the untidy drivers i work with lol
