When you have someone on for an interview. Let them talk my friend. This would of been such an amazing interview if you just listened and asked questions instead of constantly cutting Jeff off with not valuable information.
I felt the same in the first 10 minutes, but then I realized that jeff was preaching his gospel without acknowledging that the powers that be have guns, prisons and can crush any "black market" bit oin economy with increased taxation in order to lock the rebels up.
I don't agree. If you let Booth just talk he always tells the same story, there are enough of those interviews on UA-cam already, by challenging Booth we get a slightly different interview and that is interesting.
Francis was sharing his view of the world, and playing devil's advocate, which is a good thing. He wanted to test him a little and that seemed to be the point of this video. If he hadn't brought it up he'd have no chance to change his beliefs. How Jeff reacts really shows that he's thought it through from many angles. No defensiveness, no irritation.

Canadian here. I proudly supported the trucker protest with BTC with Jeff and NobodyCaribou. I'm also pushing for Polievre so we can get a window of freedom to lay the rails for something new. In Canada specifically "they" think they have a grip on us but the creditists have no idea how fragile their position is.
Jeff did not address Francis concerns in much detail. I know he’s been around for a while but his arguments seemed like cheerleading more than analysis. Sounds like market top mania and I’m not saying he’s wrong. His core thesis is spot on, everything should be getting much cheaper but isn't because the money we are using is parasitic by design. But most people can't wrap their heads around this because they are trapped in the matrix

I think the comments seem a little unfair and biased. Although bringing great insights and perspective, I feel Jeff's delivery at times had undertones of being condescending towards Francis, assuming a lack of knowledge/perspective where I dont think it holds true. Such tonality inevitably invokes a response in passionate intellects like Francis to be driven to show an understanding of discussion points to mediate this in which perhaps they may be more hasty to comment or 'interject'. Overall, it's great to have a respectable discussion & debate on contrasting views without falling into hostilities. I have to say, so much of the reason for that is Francis's ability to maintain ego-free composure. I've noticed that in so many interviews. The problem with this debate is that it focused on the tech and protocol, whereas the real debate is whether or not there will be mass adoption. There is no significant disagreement about Bitcoin technically. What needs to be discussed and debated is the mass psychology of society. My opinion is that mass adoption is looking unlikely because society is stuck in a psychological prison operated by the system. Jeff made a point which went unchallenged that Covid woke people up, therefore implying that Bitcoin adoption will succeed. I just don't agree with this. I personally do not know a single person who has truly woken up out of the 'matrix'. There may be a few who have doubt over the Covid episode, but they still believe there was a pandemic (and that Putin is evil, etc. etc.). What also should be debated is: If Bitcoin were a legitimate threat to the establishment, how could it not be the case that the CeyeA would do a hit-job on Nayib Bukele to force regime change, either right-wing (false-flag attack justifying overt military action) or left-wing (Soros-style infiltration and colour revolution). Furthermore, Bukele was invited to speak at CPAC, which is absolute controlled establishment. He does not receive any significant smear from the MSM. Whereas look at what happened to Gaddafi and others, who dared to take control of their nation-state monetary system. Jeff's belief centres around a technical understanding of how Bitcoin and the protocol cannot be killed (which is true), but his view is flawed in my opinion because he's not understanding the reality of mass-psychology. He's assuming that the masses won't keep themselves in a psychological prison, despite the fact that it has happened repeatedly, and increasingly, over the last 200 years, culminating with the Covid episode which, I believe, surprised the establishment for how compliant people were. Jeff is heavily involved in the community. But this has a downside in that his conscious field-of-view is very much skewed with a major blind-spot. Try coming to north-west Europe to witness as 99.9% of citizens sit back as immigrants are shipped in and given homes & benefits as priority over actual citizens. The masses are like sleeping zombies and Jeff's forward-looking view depends on ignoring this demonstrated reality.
Also would have bee great to hear Jeff's thoughts on: 1) Why Bitcoin is trackable 2) Why privacy coins like Monero don't get any MSM coverage or pump. 3) Why Larry Fink is discouraging citizenry acquisition of gold while the central-banks purchase in record amounts. 4) BRICS
Excellent points, although i think Francis did challenge him to answer so many of the topics above but like you said Jeff is only answering those from his technical glasses and not considering the societal aspects like adoption
Bitcoin is not anonymous, so has the obvious privacy issues. And most importantly it is controllable by whoever controls 51% of the miners. They can do a software update to the system and create new rules, exclude rogue players, whatever. The civilian population will never be able to control more than 51% of the miners, governments and billionaires will be able to dominate this and control global commerce.
you can call 80% of the population 'slaves' if you want. but if there's mass adoption, it won't come from them. it will come from an exterior force, because slaves only follow and never lead anything. slaves don't even take part really in the market. they have no power. the remaining 20% will need honest money regardless. everyone benefit. and no, the parasitic elites are not 20%, they are like 1% of 1% of 1%. I think they got outsmarted here.

This was very useful and interesting. It could have been more powerful and covered more ground, with greater clarity if Francis had asked briefer, better constructed questions and allowed Jeff to answer them without interruption. Good job, but could have been even better.

Jeff Booth talks about the things I think about regarding crypto, and so does Francis. Great interview. Incientally, there is no limit to the amount of fiat currency, it is potentially infinite. Btcoin crypto is finite. Infinity divided by any finite amount is still infinity. 1 Bitcoin is potentially worth infinite fiat.
Cheerleaders need to be put in place to help facilitate this transition to a digital economy. My point of realisation came when I learned David Schwartz use to work for the NSA and wrote a white paper detailing a Bitcoin like blockchain, from there it's pretty easy to see who the people pushing this crypto revolution work for. The thing that brought it all together....the dollar corral theory, herding us into digital assets, then closing the gates, introducing social credits and cbdc's. It won't matter how rich you are in crypto when you're not allowed to purchase the items you want.

Even when he is wrong? Maybe you should actually run a node, run a lightning wallet and use it. In 2014, it worked wonderfully, when there weren't that many of us, but the banksters and FBI took it over. Now it is useful for only large public purchases .

Most have declared it property. Even in the countries that have tried to ban it, people are still using it. Guess what happened to the Bitcoin network when the regulators said they didn't like it... absolutely nothing. It didn't care.

@Jeff Booth, while I agree with your libertarian views, you really need to learn the technical facts about Bitcoin, and the history, especially during 2015-2017. What is the volume of transactions on Lightning Network? What is the security, censorship resistance, and privacy on Lightning Network?
@Jeff Booth, I'm glad you brought up TCP/IP (actually 2 layers, but since you called it one, I will go with your analogy). Those layers were hardened over dozens of years, but also made more performant because the net network effect demanded it. Bitcoin OTOH has it's performance locked in code, and cannot scale within itself like TCP&IP has. For Bitcoin to scale, it has to scale off chain where it is NOT hardened as much, take Lightning Network, for instance. It's not nearly as secure or censorship resistant. So while the TCP & IP protocols were continually tuned for security and performance for decades, and so did the underlying hardware and the protocols above, Bitcoin, even though it runs on faster and faster hardware, it's limited to about 4MB of transactions every 10 minutes, so the only advantage we get on the faster hardware and networks. Bitcoin is NOT tied at the base layer to physics, it's tied to the clock.
This is exactly what I want for convos around btc.. Thank you Francis.. if anyone could “crack a non bitcoiner/skeptic” it’s Jeff and if anyone could kill a believer it’s Francis.. even if he does own btc.. I think it always lies somewhere in the middle- if you have zero or are overweight you are at risk, for many different reasons and very similar reasons.. it’s interesting that someone like Jeff is the study to listen to For btc and yet someone would say - “well it’s a path to digital enslavement or CIA psyop” so it’s un-investable.. why such extreme?? You are no different than a btc maxi.. No one knows for certain but to be certain it’s going to “win” or certain it won’t win are both wrong.. Great conversation. Francis is definitely looking at bitcoin from a real-world perspective, knowing how much control “they” have and how they can tax, regulate or simply manipulate the price of bitcoin so it’s price drops by 95% and stays there. Jeff is definitely has more of an idealist view. Yes, he and others can work hard to make the network stronger etc. but that becomes irrelevant if “they” tax, regulate, manipulate bitcoin, almost out of existence for the vast majority of people. I’m siding with Francis on this one
I have to say that the host makes me literally cringe. Jeff’s patience is once again exemplary. No it is NOT a good conversation when host is constantly interrupting without LISTENING. What the plebs need is more tools to transition in their daily lives to using BTC in their daily lives as Jeff does. That would also make for a good podcast.

This was a great talk, but try bite your tongue and instead write down your thoughts/comments/responses. Remember that you might already get what Jeff is about to say - but people listening aren't.
Everything falls in value relative to bitcoin, over time. BTC floor price has a 97.5% correlation to a power law and has moved through eight orders of magnitude. Jeff is right. The only way you can be right too, is to do the work. Study bitcoin and build your position over time to benefit from its mathematical advantage over fiat currency when it comes to storing your work energy as savings over decades.
I just gave up and went to a Jeff booth interview on another channel. Francis interruptions are unbearable. Stick to TA vids on you're own, they're great. Interviews, not you

Jeff made a point which went unchallenged that Covid woke people up, therefore implying that Bitcoin adoption will succeed. I just don't agree with this. I personally do not know a single person who has truly woken up out of the 'matrix'. There may be a few who have doubt over the Covid episode, but they still believe there was a pandemic (and that Putin is evil, etc. etc.).
What also should be debated is: If Bitcoin were a legitimate threat to the establishment, how could it not be the case that the CeyeA would do a hit-job on Nayib Bukele to force regime change, either right-wing (false-flag attack justifying overt military action) or left-wing (Soros-style infiltration and colour revolution). Furthermore, Bukele was invited to speak at CPAC, which is absolute controlled establishment. He does not receive any significant smear from the MSM. Whereas look at what happened to Gaddafi and others, who dared to take control of their nation-state monetary system.
Jeff's belief centres around a technical understanding of how Bitcoin and the protocol cannot be killed (which is true), but his view is flawed in my opinion because he's not understanding the reality of mass-psychology. He's assuming that the masses won't keep themselves in a psychological prison, despite the fact that it has happened repeatedly, and increasingly, over the last 200 years, culminating with the Covid episode which, I believe, surprised the establishment for how compliant people were.
Jeff is heavily involved in the community. But this has a downside in that his conscious field-of-view is very much skewed with a major blind-spot. Try coming to north-west Europe to witness as 99.9% of citizens sit back as immigrants are shipped in and given homes & benefits as priority over actual citizens. The masses are like sleeping zombies and Jeff's forward-looking view depends on ignoring this demonstrated reality.
Also would have bee great to hear Jeff's thoughts on:
1) Why Bitcoin is trackable
2) Why privacy coins like Monero don't get any MSM coverage or pump.
3) Why Larry Fink is discouraging citizenry acquisition of gold while the central-banks purchase in record amounts.
4) BRICS
Excellent points, although i think Francis did challenge him to answer so many of the topics above but like you said Jeff is only answering those from his technical glasses and not considering the societal aspects like adoption
Bitcoin is not anonymous, so has the obvious privacy issues. And most importantly it is controllable by whoever controls 51% of the miners. They can do a software update to the system and create new rules, exclude rogue players, whatever. The civilian population will never be able to control more than 51% of the miners, governments and billionaires will be able to dominate this and control global commerce.
you can call 80% of the population 'slaves' if you want. but if there's mass adoption, it won't come from them. it will come from an exterior force, because slaves only follow and never lead anything. slaves don't even take part really in the market. they have no power. the remaining 20% will need honest money regardless. everyone benefit. and no, the parasitic elites are not 20%, they are like 1% of 1% of 1%. I think they got outsmarted here.

This was very useful and interesting. It could have been more powerful and covered more ground, with greater clarity if Francis had asked briefer, better constructed questions and allowed Jeff to answer them without interruption. Good job, but could have been even better.

Incientally, there is no limit to the amount of fiat currency, it is potentially infinite. Btcoin crypto is finite. Infinity divided by any finite amount is still infinity. 1 Bitcoin is potentially worth infinite fiat.

My point of realisation came when I learned David Schwartz use to work for the NSA and wrote a white paper detailing a Bitcoin like blockchain, from there it's pretty easy to see who the people pushing this crypto revolution work for. The thing that brought it all together....the dollar corral theory, herding us into digital assets, then closing the gates, introducing social credits and cbdc's. It won't matter how rich you are in crypto when you're not allowed to purchase the items you want.

@Jeff Booth, while I agree with your libertarian views, you really need to learn the technical facts about Bitcoin, and the history, especially during 2015-2017. What is the volume of transactions on Lightning Network? What is the security, censorship resistance, and privacy on Lightning Network?
@Jeff Booth, I'm glad you brought up TCP/IP (actually 2 layers, but since you called it one, I will go with your analogy). Those layers were hardened over dozens of years, but also made more performant because the net network effect demanded it. Bitcoin OTOH has it's performance locked in code, and cannot scale within itself like TCP&IP has. For Bitcoin to scale, it has to scale off chain where it is NOT hardened as much, take Lightning Network, for instance. It's not nearly as secure or censorship resistant. So while the TCP & IP protocols were continually tuned for security and performance for decades, and so did the underlying hardware and the protocols above, Bitcoin, even though it runs on faster and faster hardware, it's limited to about 4MB of transactions every 10 minutes, so the only advantage we get on the faster hardware and networks. Bitcoin is NOT tied at the base layer to physics, it's tied to the clock.
This is exactly what I want for convos around btc.. Thank you Francis..

Great conversation. Francis is definitely looking at bitcoin from a real-world perspective, knowing how much control “they” have and how they can tax, regulate or simply manipulate the price of bitcoin so it’s price drops by 95% and stays there. Jeff is definitely has more of an idealist view. Yes, he and others can work hard to make the network stronger etc. but that becomes irrelevant if “they” tax, regulate, manipulate bitcoin, almost out of existence for the vast majority of people. I’m siding with Francis on this one

I have to say that the host makes me literally cringe. Jeff’s patience is once again exemplary. No it is NOT a good conversation when host is constantly interrupting without LISTENING. What the plebs need is more tools to transition in their daily lives to using BTC in their daily lives as Jeff does. That would also make for a good podcast.

This was a great talk, but try bite your tongue and instead write down your thoughts/comments/responses. Remember that you might already get what Jeff is about to say - but people listening aren't.
Everything falls in value relative to bitcoin, over time. BTC floor price has a 97.5% correlation to a power law and has moved through eight orders of magnitude. Jeff is right. The only way you can be right too, is to do the work. Study bitcoin and build your position over time to benefit from its mathematical advantage over fiat currency when it comes to storing your work energy as savings over decades.
I just gave up and went to a Jeff booth interview on another channel. Francis interruptions are unbearable. Stick to TA vids on you're own, they're great. Interviews, not you
