@@OOpSjm dont look at me like that untill you buy a $3000 dollar peice of round bar thats 4140 grade and then as your turning a shoulder on it this cavity opens up in the bar your turning because the steel is absolute garbage!
@@OOpSjm sometimes but the slag bubbles like a weld exposed to impurities creating cavities in the steel the bar that i had looked like a plie of oxy slag inside the cavity. Chinese steel also does not hold its form very well steel section like i beam and channel can vary in their form by up to 11-14% when there is a 1/8" variation in thickness and hight and width it makes joining long sections together end to end very difficult I've seen alot of crap product come from china!
@Starguard . . . The locomotive looks like it is coal burning, as @12:18 there's a tell-tale sign of a coal pile brimming on the top of the car adjoined the locomotive. And given the vast coal resources in China, I'd doubt they want to use imported oil.
Slag, it's made up of the impurities that float on top of the molten steel in the furnaces. It's skimmed off before removing the steel itself from the melt furnace.
It's sad... Coal for transport, coal for metal casting, all made of metal and it's the industry of the world... BTW, coal is the most inefficient and most contaminating source of heat and electricity generation.
This is so beautiful! Industry punk 100%
The bazillion year old steam locomotive is a kick in the ass! Thanx for posting this!!!
Well done. Best regards from Poland.
Still using friggin steam engines. Wow
Very impressive works ! 👍

shut the fuck up and keep buying chinese products
Nice non-stick surface......
And to think that those hand tools sold by Harbor Freight retailers, in the US, could have had their early origins from this place.
wow thanks for sharing this video! very cool
What are the bowls made from?
Wspaniały materiał. Łapka ode mnie.
Somehow satisfying
Exactly what i thought
Well, the trees and plant on the mountain is ok.
Im suprised they dump it usualy they put it IN the steel to get more product
🤨

@@OOpSjm chinese steel is shit !!!
@@adriankingston4338 isn't the cavity formed by gases during the casting? Poured the cast too fast even maybe trapping air.

Афигительно! :)
Those tracks look like theyre about to fall into the slag pit. I also hope they've stopped using coal for their trains
Долго стояли шлаковозы, что аж позастывало
I wonder are those engines Coal or Oil Burners

coal in the tender on the ones I have seen .
AT 5:36 you can see someone shovel on the tender....
I take it that this is a waste product. It must have a use, but what is it?
Filler in roads, concrete, roof tiles.

a little water spray would create steam that would increase evaporation
No one wants to buy evaporated slag at Wal-Mart.
@Steve Rowley . . . the steel mill may have limited resources for water, which is needed for the steam locomotives.
