  • A rundown of the makeshift variation on my Farmers Market micro-kit I came up with for a live-in-studio gig at KPSU earlier this year. My goal was to load into the studio in just one trip, yet bring as full an array of choices to play as possible.
16" converted floor tom kick (80's Tama Swingstar)
10" rack tom (70's/80's stencil kit)
    12"x6" Black Panther snare
14"x15" 70's USA Slingerland floor tom
    Ludwig speed king
Ludwig & Slingerland vintage flat-base hardware
    14" Sabian AA Sizzle Hats
    6" Sabian B8 splash
    16" Sabian Vault Fierce Crash
    10" Sabian AAX Ozone splash
    19" Sabian HHX Omni
    18" Sabian Hand Hammered China

Hi there, a question, what hardware did you use to mount the rag tom on your converted floor Tom?? Nice kit! Cheers

Thanks, it's a tom-side mount from an orphan Pearl-style modern generic tom (I think it was a Dixon or a Thor). I just used a hole saw drill bit and cut into the floor tom in line with the 3rd leg mount (which I'm using as the cymbal stalk mount on the top of the drum). Then it's a Pearl arm connecting both pieces.
