Sam Dance is my favourite crossfit athlete. My favourite Sam Dance Moment...after finishing last in ranch run, right before the deadlift ladder. He was asked "your not going to warm up?" I just did a 7k I'm warm, then proceeds to win the ladder."
This episode was so good! Highlights: Bickle, Julian representing all of us Latin Americans, getting to know another athlete I didn't know about, and a fun/goofy challenge. Y'all are great, keep it up!
Please get some good coverage of age groups and adaptive a while you guys are there since CF put a crows nest camera up and we can’t see anything! Also love the shades and think Julian got robbed on the ball game, he won for sure.
I just missed you guys! I was in Silverthorne 3 weeks ago. While hiking with my Buttery Blenders, I was thinking, "It would be wild to see the Buttery Bros hiking." Thanks for the great content! Keep it coming.
olsen and smith looking for two females to partner up with...Depending on how she does this year, i could see barnhart being one of the females. she has a good relationship with the Smiths and has trained with chandler and his wife multiple times.
@@ButteryBros1 then yes it does help in some ways. Good on them. For higher altitudes there is some evidence that says to train at the higher altitudes and sleep at the lower altitudes, but need more randomized, prospective etc… trials to confirm this.
Training at altitude most certainly Works. it’s not training, but “excisting” at altitude that Works. Which is why elevation masks are basically just a poor idea, that is executed poorly.
My understanding from an Exercise Science perspective has always been “train low and sleep high”. Training at high altitude is good for when you have to compete at altitude but doing it too often can compromise the workout/training because you are have an extra barrier to performance. If you can run X mileage at Y pace at sea level but cannot hit that at altitude, you may be better off getting the right volume/pace/work at sea level and just sleeping or living at altitude. The one thing that is a difficult to measure aspect of this is the increase in grit or toughness from training at altitude. Because it is harder to train high; it may increase mental toughness but it’s hard to measure that impact.
i'm going to have to insist that you have Chandler on every single episode, forever.

"i was born in the dark, molded by it." then my dude immediately rips out a couple coughs. 😂

It does not help unless you are at altitude for at least a month to increase your red blood cell numbers.
They were at elevation for over a month, and above 10,000 feet for a week the last week.

Whitney Houston is pop?!😲 In what world?!
You came to Breck and didn't even call me!??!
The bald dude on the rower in the with the blue shorts?
isnt the point to live at elevation and train at sea level...
No. You live and train at elevation, then compete at lower elevation/sea level. That’s why the OTC is in Colorado Springs
I wanna say the gains from it are temporary though, like yourbody will re-regulate after a few day or so of being back at sea level or whatever level.
