I recently switched to powder foundation because I don’t want makeup smeared under facial mask. So glad to find your video and you look absolutely beautiful & natural. Thank you!!!
I have fallen back in love with powder foundations now that I have found the right primer and brush combo. I LOVE the Aveda Dual Foundation. The coverage and finish is just lovely. I use the It Cosmetics Heavenly Skin brush for the stippling and buffing. Then, if the sides of my face need more coverage, I use a dense, rounded foundation brush to apply just to the area with discoloration.
I use to wear liquid foundation. But seeing how I sweat sooo bad it just melts off of my face in the summer. So I started wearing the same Makeup Forever powder foundation you use & I absolutely love it! Plus it’s so much quicker than my liquid foundation routine. 😊 Great tutorial!
Flawless as ever, Stephanie. Having dry skin, the one powder foundation that I like and looks good is the It Cosmetics Illumination Foundation. Love the application process that you used. I will definitely try it. The setting spray that I always go to, is the Hard Candy Brighten spray. I've tried so many, but always go to this. Great video. ❤😘
The Tati Blendiful is terrific for powder foundation. I patted it on and then pressed and rolled it into my skin. So smooth, and I did not need to spray i with liquid to take away the powdery finish.
Oh, my. I just happened to watch this video from 2019 yesterday since I want to use a powder foundation in the morning. I find the TikTok hyped Loreal one give WAY to much coverage and the product, although nice, gets thick and unnatural looking on my very oily and not too wrinkly middle aged skin. So I found an old Studio Fix Powder Foundation among my heaps of makeup and did EXACTLY like you did in the video (including flat style dense brush) and the results are AMAZING! It looks SO natural, covers enough and lasted very well for 6 hours (and I am used to touching up after 3 hours) and the touch up was just the tiniest blotting and a sweep with my By Terry loose powder. I LOVED this video! Thanks SO much! I straight away ordered a new one!
I use powder foundation since I have rosacea prone skin and especially clean make up brands have good ones that work well. I used to use it all over the face but nowadays I use it as a setting powder. I use a smaller brush like a setting brush and with powder foundation I am able to to set my foundation but also cover the permanent redness rosacea is causing. Great product 🩷
This was a much needed tutorial. I don't use powder foundation very often because I'm dry as the desert, but I needed a few of these tips for when I do use it
hoping for more powder foundation reviews and how to wear it without cake-ing. I am in a tropical country, whenever I used liquid foundation it became sticky and cakey ofcourse bcoz of the sweat blending on the makeup. ❤ 🇵🇭
Very helpful! I like to travel with a powder foundation (Laura Geller), and this had some really good tips. Agree that using a facial mist and/or setting spray is essential.
This is so helpful. So many times o see people wearing caked powders. And this is so helpful. I JUSt LOVE your content and how helpful you are. To so many. Love you
With a mature, oily skin, I love powder foundations. I can't wait until the Sonia G face brush comes back in stock at Beautylish. I ordered the Armani powder foundation and am hoping to upping my foundation game.
Omg.. You wrote this a year ago! And I am still waiting as well. Crazy! Actually I've recently been thinking to try the Chikuhodo gsm powder brush for this as it's been getting awesome reviews
Great tutorial! I’ve been looking forward to seeing this. Powder foundation is my favourite for traveling as I often go carry on only and it’s such a great option. I’m dry combo (I use lots of moisturizer first) & I’ve loved powder foundation for years. I started simply using it to knock the shine of spf off then I found it helped even things out. It’s still a favourite. I used to use Lancôme Dual Finish. It’s lovely for dry skin IF you can handle the ghastly fragrance. For that reason I moved to Studio Fix powder foundation by Mac. It’s more drying but no smell. Appreciate these tips to make it easier to use my powder foundation. I need to avoid my eye area as you showed. And I will use your concealer method.
This was awesome. Two take always for me were applying my setting powder to my under eyes before the powder foundation and adding the swirling step after the stippling. Thank you!
Hi Stephanie Marie ! I did this routine, stopping in between with you and my powder foundation looks amazing! Thank you for doing this. Just foolproof. Truly prepping my skin is SO key. Love it!
Thank you! I was so excited when I saw the notification for this video! I only use powder foundation, I was using bare minerals matte powder foundation forever and recently tried the tarte amazonian clay powder foundation because of your last video about powder foundations and I love it! Do you ever use a separate primer on your pores? If so can you please show us how you apply it. I always need to apply 2 separate primers. I love your tricks & tips. I will definitely be rewatching this video!
I love your method, you did put a lot of concealer. I love to see that you only amplified your existing beauty for a natural look :) thanks for showing
I recently got the osmosis powder foundation and I haven’t worn powder foundation in like 20 years and I actually really like it. I do it just like you do I put sunscreen first then primer then the powder and then I spray my face with the two-faced hydrating spray and it ends up looking like a liquid
An excellent tutorial! I really like powder foundations so this is fantastic for me. So incredibly helpful. You explain things in a way that’s very understandable. I currently have the original bareMinerals powder foundation and well as Jcat’s. I’ll have to make sure that I’ve seen your other video including powder foundations. Thanks sooo much, love🍃🌸
Very helpful tips Stephanie. I’ll incorporate your suggestions the next time I’m brave enough to try another powder foundation lol. My skin has been drier than usual lately ugh. Thanks so much. Love your soft, finished look 💗
Hi Stephanie! I have a question about when to apply powder foundation if I use cream contour and blush, should i use them before the powder foundation? Hope you have the time my question, thank you in adv!
