I played through until I got to around 100 days left and I accidentally finished the last task and it went to one day left and I couldnt save up money to save anyone and it wouldnt let me go back due to fable 3 shite save/load system
Out of all the crappiness and facepalming moments of Fable 3, the one thing they actually nailed was the character development between Walter and the Hero. I remember the first time I played through and I nearly cried when Walter died. They made it truly feel like you were losing a good friend.
its actually great that I played this as a kid, the cheese and simplicity and problems didnt stick out and the world still engaged me, like you said walter was and still feels like a treasured friend
Tom Shiner I did always wonder in Fable 2, that my dog survived all that fighting with Hobbes, Hollow Men, Bandits, Trolls, all these things, and getting bad hits more times than I can count, and then Lucien hits him ONCE with a gun and my dog dies?
RuSosan so true. the dog was more of a pain than anything I kept walking into it and then if you don't go for the family wish you lose the dog permenatly and cant dig for treasure what kind of game makes it so you chose to either finish the game or not to?
joe walden the first time through I was told to save before going into the tower the second time after the 10 years so I did and I did all the wishes just for the achievments. I am lazy lol it worked thou.
Gotta admit, even though the last 2 fable games weren't as good as the first one, the story telling is still so damn amazing, and so is the voice acting.
Honestly, all weren't all that great. The concepts, however, are what draws me in. I just got done beating Fable Anniversary and I now realize that they do a lot of telling and little showing. Fable 3, like the first, was ambitious in it's plot but it was lazy execution as they rather put for focus on things that didn't matter *cough*PAUSEMENU*cough* and let's not forget upkeeping homes and crap. If they cut all that out and spent more money on the levels and story this would have been the Fable to outdo the original.
Walters death is really sad. Mostly due to the stellar performance from Louis Tamone. He must have been thinking of puppies being slowly, slowly crushed by evil gnomes:)
For gods sake man, this abrupt ending blind sided me ever harder than ME2. I can't tell you how many of my friends doomed Albion on their first play through.
I remember when I really screwed up the first time. I wanted to get the story over with but I didn't know that I needed money. So it ended with everyone dying because I didn't want to break any promises. So I restarted and bought every store and rented out all properties, briefly set the prices to very high, dropped the prices to low one I reached 10 million gold, ruled Albion, grabbed the key in the sanctuary treasury, shoved all that money in the kingdom treasury, unlocked the chest in the sanctuary treasury, chose every good option possible then beat the game. I still had almost 4.5 million in the kingdom treasury because I was still getting profits. So originally we had the choice of either everyone dies or everyone hates us. But who ever though the way to beat the system is cold hard cash.
And i loved this ending. "Teach me to be a hero" really got me and I could feel how deep their relationship was. Fable 3 wasnt great but this ending was.
WALTER WAS THE BEST PART OF THE GAME AND WHEN HE DIED IN MY ARMS I WAS VERRY UPSET. GOOD ENDING MY FOOT. Also can we please appreciate the voice acting because YES
If anyone is still wondering how you get this ending, you start early buying properties, as early as you can. Then once you have bought most or everything, you put the rent on houses on free and the prices on stores on the highest. This will make it so you won't have to repair houses and will still be good, even though you get loads of cash. Then by the end you will have enough to keep your promises while also keeping enough gold to save everyone.
Good game :) Not as good as the old ones but good enough to be a sequel, sequels always deteriorate in quality but I think the devs did a good job at keeping it funny and interesting. SO glitchy though, non-genetics based children and amnesia-suffering glowing trail is fucking irritating.
I wouldn't say sequels always deteroriate in quality. Witcher 3 is widely regarded as the best in the series, as well as one of the best RPGs to date. Mass Effect 2 is the best one in the series and a serious contender for best RPG. Divinity Original Sin 2 was heaven, and Divinity Ego Draconis/Divinity Original Sin were both good, but Original Sin 2 is no doubt the best game in the series.
Wait im being a evil king cuz ill get the good ending Being evil:everyone hates you and you save everyone Bening good:everyone loves you but in the end everybody dies is that correct?
Not quite. It's possible to be a good king who saves everyone and keeps all his promises, albeit it is very hard and you'll need to own every property pretty much ASAP.
me and my friend loved this character so much, we cried when Walter died, our favorite quote from fable 3 is still Walter's line "I would just like to say one thing............BALLS!!!"
Spent like 9 hours getting 5mil gold and then forgot about the sudden final time skip. I didn’t get to put my gold in the treasury so I’m pretty upset that I wasted all that time.
Why every damn fable games your fable game yours friends leave you at the ending Whisper whyyy Briar rose Hanna/hammer The mage guy And these guys Cant say reaver cause he returns
I first played this game 7 years ago, completed it but broke promises, didn’t have enough money for the army, and got the bad ending, didn’t bother me much back then.. but today, I’ve made all the promises, had the 6.5 million for the army, and finally got the “good” ending, I say “good” because in the end, Walter will still end up dead :( rip
+Andrew Eed yes, it is, I do not know what the owner of this video made to have a good ending keeping his promises, but there are just 2 choices, keep your promises and loose your money, this will leave you with no money to get soldiers and all Albion will fall, or you can be a jerk and do not keep your promises, this way you will have money enough to get a lot of soldiers, enough to save Albion
I still got this ending though, just with way less money in my treasury and everyone was dead, I managed to bring them all back with this little trick that I found but eh...
This ending is easy to get if you invest in real estate from the beginning. I got 180k from lute playing and the rest was from real estate rent. I bought every piece of real estate and when I had 5million I sold most of it so I could be over the 7million mark.
Just start renting out houses the moment you have enough money and are able to do so. Then every house you come across, buy it and rent it out. You can be like me and constantly upgrade furniture etc so it's harder for the houses value to depress or just spend money repairing them. It gets expensive but remember that the income grows exponentially with the more houses you rent out.
Personally, I think that having a "boss" like in Fable 2 can actually aid the game. It makes you remember all the things that prick has done to you and give you delight when you press the button to kill him. Emotionally, it wa great.
I did it once and it's rewarding lol :) you have to raise 7,100,000 on your own and then donate it to the treasury I would recommend waiting until you get 5,000,000 so that you can grab the key in the sanctuary then you donate your gold
Savannah Goodwin Own all buildings, you simply wait a very long time, until you've got that much from rent, I've done it numerous times myself, since I hate doing all the bad decisions then still not having enough to save everyone, because even the guys you do save will diss you hard and hate you :3
I couldn't make it this far. I loved Walter he was the bomb. That and I constantly would get stressed on transactions and I felt like I was making the wrong one's.
I love this game i play it more than often when i can and i was banging on my controler when that thing possesed walter i was like KILL IT DONT LET HIM DIE!! and when they made that memorial for him i visited it with my little family daily :D i miss walter because i felt like he was the only person with feeling in the game and when people just went woo woo he proudly teased my player :D
I got enough gold through owning every property in albion and kept all the promises. I still fought with black wings and red runes though, i responded... erm... irrationally to a villagers comment
This was the first Fable game I ever played, it was the best way to get into the series ($5 game). If they had the Crawler in the 2nd game and had a "multiple forms final boss" it would of been epic.
If I told you it would be spoilers. However, if you really want to know I will tell you. Just do yourself a favor and don't buy this game. Get fable anniversery instead.
Marvel Capcom I'm so very sorry to have gotten it wrong your nerdiness... I will try harder in the future (not). Tis a good thing the Gods of Fable real estate agency are not here, for they would have my head for not knowing something so stupid. Point is, you did fullfill all the god damn promises "they" wanted you to fulfill (but they hate you anyway in the end anyway if you don't have 1 gold per person of the 6.5 million people that live there. 1 gold? Each person is worth 1 gold? odd) However, if you don't know how fast the time skips for the final battle, haven't collected enough money and you are on your first playthrough, you tend to not think that having money like this is really needed, for it is a game, not real estate tycoon. On top of that, why the hell did they add the last part of the game. It was honestly completely unrelated to the actual game. They are like, PLOT TWIST.... FORGET THE STORY WE ARE WRITING, LETS JUST ADD SHADOW DEMONS TO THE MIX. So concludes why I think it is better if you just do an evil playthrough, for nothing gets as bad as it already is.
I know what you mean +cdop... I remember the first time i obtained a copy of Fable 1, it was the reasin why i bought an Xbox. I followed this game from its creation. Carefully watched every trailer until it became available. I finally got my copy on Christmas i believe that's when it came out. I played it from Christmas eve till the end of my winter break, i would rush home everyday after school to finish the game. This is my childhood Game and i still play Fable 1 to this day... i don't think i can let it go, PLEASE MAKE FABLE 5 Like FABLE 1 WITH FREE WILL AND A GREAT STORY LINE! FABLE 3 SUCKED BUTT HOLES AND 4 LOOKS DUMB! ... No free will! and the blood line ENDS!!!
I beat the game in a fair way - by ultimate farming with lute and renting out - by that way I get the ideal ending. My friends, whom also played F3 was shocked that you can be a good king and with it you saves Albion.
its easy to get enough money, just rent out everywhere as soon as you can, then hike the rent up high in dweller camp and brightwall for a while until you can afford to buy a pub and/or pawnbroker (and other shops) once you own everywhere in those 1st 2 areas you can return the rent to normal then just make sure to buy/rent out everything you can. if u play thru all the quests and level ur guy up you can make tonnes of money. i ended up with 40million, but i had been playing for a long time:)
when you fight the leader of the temple of shadows in fable 2 his voice gets deep and he summons a dark cloud that says "i am the bringer of darkness" i think that is when this monster entered the world
Theresa is the real MVP here. Helps an Orphan hero realise Thier potential and eventually become the monarch , then decades later helps Thier child overthrow a tyrant and quash an attack by the darkness. *slow clap* Well done her.
If you choose the good ending you'll never get all 50 silver keys. An area in Aurora unlockeds only if you break your promise to them, and that area contains a silver key. If you choose the good ending you won't get to the last silver chest, which contains a legendary weapon not found in the environment. So double wammy.
Fighting the crawler by itself instead of a possessed walter would've been ideal, but whenever the boss is about the same size as yourself, shit gets real. No rhyme intended
Fable 3: Lighthearted romp through revolutionary life, trying to overthrow your affably evil brother and then suddenly you wander in this cave after wrecking your ship and a fucking demon centipede thing whispers to you. There are a lot of moments like that in this fucking game. Mood Whiplash hurts.
I feel like this game could've done way better if the army of darkness had arrived in decades time so that your character would age and give the best encouragement speech before and during the final battle and for character progression purposes AND that a purely good ending would enable you to have bandit friends helping you in the final battle, being able to risk your life to save Major Swift from execution and, ultimately, having all your major friends save Walter's life because you kept their promise.
Why the hell else do I need to keep their promise? It doesn't affect the ending in the slightest other than some individuals dying off. The way things are, it's not impactful enough that your choices matter and you're not rewarded for being purely good since you can be a tyrant while keeping promises and still get the good ending.
@@muffinman2546 whether you keep your promises or no, you open up new areas in-game (Outpost in Aurora, the mines in Bower Lake) I think people give the game a harder time than they ought to
that kinda explains EVERYTHING. if you ask yourself a question as a game developer "what is better, do shitty game fast or take over 4 years and do game suitable for place in Hall of Fame of Games? (Skyrim)" the answer is quite clear
Yeah. It was pretty cool in Fable 2 to visit Oakvale. I know, he sounds stupid. I don't know why they even bothered to give him a voice. We had a mute hero sience the first one and it worked fine.
I got this ending but after that my character got evil, his weapons stripped can't go anywhere and stuck in a town, I forgot the name because it was years ago when it happend
The secret to everyone living AND you being a beloved king is simple: invest in real estate.
And take your time dont rush the game and in time you can just sell the houses and rent out bus
Lots of it
BUY EVERYTHING
WAIT
THEN SELL EVERYTHING
RINSE AND REPEAT
I F***ED UP MAJORLY

Tristan Ward impressive my favourite area is the cock in the crown now that I think about it possibly an insult to Logan now to me shit
If you buy every house/business in the game it only takes about a day to get 7 mill

For gods sake man, this abrupt ending blind sided me ever harder than ME2. I can't tell you how many of my friends doomed Albion on their first play through.
+Demitrium For gods sake man, this long without fable 4, I can't tell you how many of my friends saved Albion hoping for another adventure...

"Teach me to be a hero.." I fucking cried, and dropped my controller.
The death of Walter was so emotional that it fucked my feelings up and made me cry for like 10min
Ok
Ok
so many memories, I was king once
Mr. Wellington Von Duke III nope
Im only one to think that the crawler is one of scariest video game enemies ever?
Bleflar I actually find it really cute.
I think the concept of it is scarier than the actual model/creature itself
i would actually keep it as a pet tbh
What if in the end of the bad end you see your character open a box and the jack of blades mask was in it
that would be awesome
Best plot twist ever
"After a millennia, I have returned. Jack of Blades is BACK!"
nixonnate32 “HEEEEEREES JACKY!”
Pan Samuio I always thought the darkness was a version of Jack of Blades, the statues he has looks like Jack of Blades.
And i loved this ending. "Teach me to be a hero" really got me and I could feel how deep their relationship was. Fable 3 wasnt great but this ending was.
I was able to keep all the promises, protect everyone and still have $5,000,000 in the vault
I enjoyed fable 2 and 3 but they were nothing like fable 1 nothing at all
Man...the animation could be so much better, it's like watching an earlier PS2 platformer.
I personally prefer the budget gets spent on any other aspect of a game.
@DUSTRICK Well this was on the xbox360 graphics have changed since then I’m still playing this now 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
"Where are you! SHOW YOURSELF!"
Peeka-boo!
God I jumped the first time this cut scene played. Lol

when I first beat fable 3 and killed Walter I was like GOD NO NOT WALTER DX
Feels so good to finally start up the xbox 360 and play fable again, bringing back good memories
3:22 cried. Cried like the little crap I am when I saw that scene.
IVE PLAYED THE GAME TWICE WHY DID I CRY OVER IT
Good game :) Not as good as the old ones but good enough to be a sequel, sequels always deteriorate in quality but I think the devs did a good job at keeping it funny and interesting. SO glitchy though, non-genetics based children and amnesia-suffering glowing trail is fucking irritating.
I wouldn't say sequels always deteroriate in quality.

same
same here too :c
I have played this game so many times. I cry every time he die
So messed up 😲
we all did
I cried when Walter died

i cried when walter died. he was so badass and treated you like you were his. i miss him D;
Sadly...you can never talk to the other characters after you beat the game...
Walter got possesed and died. On the bright side, Hunt Dawg is now online...
how did you become the hero that everyone likes but kept all the promises what job did you have to get all that money?
And then you become a homicidal maniac after 10 minutes of not knowing what to do
It's been a while since I played fable 3 but I am sure that the blind chick is the sister from fable 1
It is.
I said hell nah, no flower pickings or standing still for 7 hours, id rather die cause of the darkness
Theresa is the real MVP here.
Helps an Orphan hero realise Thier potential and eventually become the monarch , then decades later helps Thier child overthrow a tyrant and quash an attack by the darkness.
*slow clap*
Well done her.
Scott Varley SPOILER WARNING
But then you find out that the events that started both Fable ll and Fable lll are her fault...
She was the one that told Lucien about the spire. It was all planned from the beginning
Teach me to be a hero almost always brings me to tears
Fable 3 still on the game pass? Gotta play this game again
There is no good ending, you can just change how sad will be the final, but this part of tale ends bad...
If you choose the good ending you'll never get all 50 silver keys. An area in Aurora unlockeds only if you break your promise to them, and that area contains a silver key. If you choose the good ending you won't get to the last silver chest, which contains a legendary weapon not found in the environment. So double wammy.
bitch please, i got all the silver keys with the good ending so triple wammy
Joshua Dario so you broke your contract with Aurora?
Practically take your time, buy homes, get rent and deposit it all in the treasury and well WAIIITTTT A LONG ASS TIME
Fighting the crawler by itself instead of a possessed walter would've been ideal, but whenever the boss is about the same size as yourself, shit gets real.
No rhyme intended
Do you have to spare your brother in order to get the good ending?
Fable 3: Lighthearted romp through revolutionary life, trying to overthrow your affably evil brother and then suddenly you wander in this cave after wrecking your ship and a fucking demon centipede thing whispers to you.
There are a lot of moments like that in this fucking game.
Mood Whiplash hurts.
Man I hope they really REALLY change the Art direction in Fable 4. Being an adult and nowhere near a Soyboy I couldn't play this game one bit!!
@@muffinman2546 whether you keep your promises or no, you open up new areas in-game (Outpost in Aurora, the mines in Bower Lake)
I think people give the game a harder time than they ought to
that kinda explains EVERYTHING. if you ask yourself a question as a game developer "what is better, do shitty game fast or take over 4 years and do game suitable for place in Hall of Fame of Games? (Skyrim)" the answer is quite clear
You are a legend, I'm starting a new game to do this now.
Yeah. It was pretty cool in Fable 2 to visit Oakvale. I know, he sounds stupid. I don't know why they even bothered to give him a voice. We had a mute hero sience the first one and it worked fine.
They actually patched in a full good ending? I may get it again just to have the satisfaction of that fact.
can you still get the good ending even while making one bad decision
yes. cuz I killed Logan...I get called a murderer a lot tho xD
ignore the fact that my name is Logan...it was weird playing the series of fable
I got this ending but after that my character got evil, his weapons stripped can't go anywhere and stuck in a town, I forgot the name because it was years ago when it happend
Where men cried
It doesn't matter if I get the good ending or bad ending...
WALTER. STILL. DIED.
