  • I bought these to put under a 2,000lbs Metal Shaper that I had in my shop that I needed to move around once in a while. These casters allow you to move a machine around as well as screw down the feet and easily level a machine and keep it from moving around when you don't want it to.
I also purchased a smaller set to put under my 600 lbs Keller Hy-Duty 5 power Hacksaw! They work much better than I anticipated.

I put almost everything I can on locking casters - from workbenches to heavy shelving, and even my big upright freezer. The older I get, the more I appreciate being able to roll heavy stuff around.

I'm in a small shop so It's nice to move a few things if needed. I hear ya, work smarter not harder. This machine weighed just over 2,000 lbs and I was able to move it around my shop with a little push and shove. Very Do-able.

I have a set of those under a 3600 pound Linotype. I had to machine solid steel wheels for them, but otherwise they’re holding up surprisingly well.

I too was surprised at how well they work. The wheels are what I thought would fail first. Funny they rate them at 1,100lbs each, but say Safe load is about half that per wheel.

@@precisionmachineshed I learned that caster load is a weird thing to calculate. Some manufacturers rate their casters based off of 3 casters out of a 4 caster set carrying the full load, others go off of 2 out of 4. And how they advertise those specs is completely inconsistent.
The nylon wheels held up, but they were deforming quite a bit under load, making it very hard to roll. I also found the top bearings had a lot of slop, so I had to take them apart, and use a punch to tightening up the bearing. I’m still not totally convinced they’ll hold up, but they’ve been holding a static load for many months now, and haven’t exploded yet!
