How can you tell the sound of a dry-powered hydraulic elevator pump VS a submersible one?

Gary Beltz I would say by the sound but I don’t know though

I could be wrong, but I think dry power is more audible. Since the valve isn't under the tank, it creates more noise. Dry powered-units are more hissy, while submersibles' hissing isn't nearly as audible.
