Anyways, I just realized I never uploaded this, but here are the NEVER BEFORE SEEN Elevator Bank #2/Building 2 Elevators at the Melia in Kissimmee aka Train&Elevatorfan8150's Orlando timeshare. As you guys probably all know by now, this Resort's Building 1 Elevators became infamous for selecting 4 whenever you pushed 5 and as a result, you couldn't go to 5! Fortunately, that was 4 years ago, and needless to say, that issue has been fixed, however, THIS bank of Elevators has it's own problem. The DOOR OPEN BUTTON DOESN'T WORK!!!
Fortunately, this isn't as serious of a problem as not being able to access 5 as many people put their hands in front of the sensors to get the doors to reopen, and people who are too late to get on the elevator can call and get on the other elevator, but this is still definitely a cause of inconvenience as well as annoyance since sometimes the doors have closed far enough that you can't/it's unsafe to reopen the doors using your body parts.
Aside from that, these elevators didn't run too terrible, but these elevators still nonetheless do show how cheap KONEs quality is both on terms of fixtures and mechanically and how glitchy their controllers usually are.
On the plus side, like I said, these elevators run fine, and all of the floors are accessible unlike what happened on the Building 1 Elevators in 2017.
Also, watch as Riley hits the alarm button and it calls the hotel staff over 😂😂😂😂.
Anyways, not too much else to say about these, hopefully the Door Open button is fixed by now, and I hope everyone is staying safe with everything that's gone on in the past month!

At first, I was like "these don't seem so bad", but I watched more of the video and realized: "Wow those are bad". It's funny how the buttons are wired so weirdly, and it's pathetic how the door open button doesn't even work. It's funny how the alarm button activates the phone button, too, lol. I personally like KSS 370 as it's unique, but I just wish the elevators themselves were kept up better. But as you know, it's just your typical KONE quality.
All Kones will call security immediately if you hit the alarm button, just the newer ones that is.
That's how one of our hospital elevators are in Little Rock. You hit the alarm button and it calls security or 911
That happened to me once on an old Dover. There was no phone button so they linked the alarm button to the phone. Stupid design honestly. Especially since it isn't labeled as such. Luckily security was understanding when I told them it was an accidental press of the wrong button.
Broken door open button, huh? That happened to me one time where I filmed a Schindler MT, and when I tried the door open button to let an employee on, it was broken as I shut the door on said employee.
Oof. That sucks. Hope the employee had nothing against you afterwards.
@@FloridianElevators yeah, after that, I got off and sent the elevator back up to let the employee use it.
Kone are the best
They replaced those call buttons with KSS 500 because KONE had some parts laying around.
To Floridian Elevators could you please revisit in Febuary 5 2025 to take a video of the both elevators at the Melia near celebration in Kissimmee Florida.
