    Dear Lena - I am so drawn to your incredibly beautiful watercolours and have watched all 5 - now 6 - of your videos scores of times and studied your technique. You make it look so effortless and easy which invariably means there's a master at work. Thank you all the way from Aoteaeoa/ New Zealand for sharing your work and for inspiring an aspiring hobby artist who may be more passionate and dedicated than she is actually capable but at 54 I am a late starter! One last request - can you please keep making more posts. You and your artistry are amazing.

    Love your work! The results are stunning!! Is this cardboard you are working on acid free mounting board or another type of board? I have not seen anything like this description in the US. We have 300 and 600 CP watercolor paper, such as Arches, which might be sturdy enough for all that water in your technique.

      It is a kind of cardboard not made for watercolour painting at all. In Danish we call it chalked paper because it is cover with a thin layer of chalk. And I gave you the link to the Danish firm where I buy it. They write only in Danish.

      It is only 2 1/2" but I often use one bigger 4". They are made of goat hair because it holds a lot of water. I bought them in a shop in Berlin.

    Kære Lena Gemzøe
    Jeg har beundret din teknik og valg af materialer. Jeg har nu lyst til at prøve at male på syrefrit karton på 490 g.
    Men da jeg skal købe en større mængde på een gang, vil jeg høre dig, om kartonet også er velegnet til den mere traditionelle måde at male på - vådt i vådt eller med pensel på tørt papir.
    venlig hilsen
    Jørgen Larsen

    • @lenagemze662
      @lenagemze662  4 роки тому

      Hej Jørgen. Det er ikke. velegnet til traditionelt akvarelmaleri. Men du kan jo prøve dig frem med mere tørt eks, drybrush. Netop fordi man skal købe 25 ark ad gangen har jeg osse været kreativ her: Jeg bruger det bl.a. til at montere og afstive akvareller, som jeg udstiller uden glas og ramme. Når jeg viser store akvareller, der.er op til 80-90 cm lange, bruger jeg det osse til hjemmelavede passepartouter, som jeg så afstiver med en bagbeklædning af karton.

      @evsjla01 4 роки тому +1

      @@lenagemze662
      Tak for dit svar. Jeg overvejer det og vurderer om jeg kan finde en måde at udnytte det på - eller om jeg bare skal lave en masse akvareller, så jeg kan dygtiggøre mig!

    What type of paper is being used?

      It is acidfree cardboard either 470g or 770 - there is a link to the shop right under the video. Maybe the description there can help you find it. Else you can get it in all common paper stores or artstores.

      It's because it is in the way and also gets wet, when it's on the table.
