Thanks for the video! Like many others, it seems, I was confused since I didn't have any instructions to go on, but this and another video cleared things up perfectly!

I must be weird, I liked the music. What tool do you use for picking out the resin from the top holes? Just tried my new mold yesterday and can't prise the resin out of the bleed holes in the stopper.

Hi! These are hard to get the resin out. I used a Cricut weeding tool very carefully because it is sharp and can easily puncture the silicone. Just be careful.

have you found anywhere that you can purchase the inserts separately in bulk? I only see the 3 pack on amazon and need to make like 20 pens

Hi Courtney! Unfortunately, I have not found anywhere to purchase the inserts in bulk. If you have time to wait, purchasing via AliExpress would be the least expensive method. I also found on Amazon that sometimes it’s less expensive to purchase the set (mold + inserts) than just the inserts. Sorry I was not able to be of more help. Good luck.

Seems fun. How do the pens write? Probably not the best given the price point, but I’m curious

Hi. They actually write pretty well. I’d compare it to a Bic pen.

Does anyone know a good place to buy the pen parts for these molds? I’m also looking for ink ball/fillable rollerball options. I purchased some felt tip parts from a wood turning store, but I don’t know yet if they’ll fit, and I also don’t know if they come with the threaded bushings to glue into the cap and body of the pen like the fountain pen options. I don’t know whether or not they’ll fit the threads of the fountain pen kits. The ones I have now do not match.

Hi! I was very frustrated trying to find the refills too. I even went so far as to buy an extra set of the molds to get the refills that come with it. I have found them on TEMU for relatively low-cost. Here’s a link to the ones I found that do fit the pens made from these molds: share.temu.com/73iUGxL8nVA. I hope this helps. Best of luck!

hello, where can I order this metal stuff that joins two parts of the pen

    • @HandcraftedbyMichelle
      @HandcraftedbyMichelle  2 роки тому +1

      Hello.
Excellent question. I had the same one when I first began making the pen and spent a lot of time trying to find a video to figure it out. I never found a video and made this one to help anyone else; once I figured it out myself. The metal parts are attached to the fountain pen insert. You just unscrew them from the middle insert. It’s detailed in the video if you watch to that point. Hope this helps. If you still are uncertain, feel free to reach out again.
      Be well.

Hi did you not use any curing equipment/machine?

    • @HandcraftedbyMichelle

Hello. I used resin that cures with time. It does not require any type of special equipment or a machine. Thank you.

      Hi Angela,
I’m sorry you didn’t like the music, it’s not for everyone. I’ve been trying to use different music (not this type) of late, that hopefully will appeal to a broader audience. Thank you for the comment.
      Be well.

I'm sorry, but this doesn't really tell me anything. It's just a video all sped up with music attached. Do you have any videos that explain how to make a resin fountain pen in detail?

@@Introversitive Hi! I’m sorry you didn’t find the video helpful. I’ll try and make a new one that’s more detailed soon.
