This season is when the show really starts to elevate. The actors settle into their roles and deliver lines more naturally, the writers start nailing the joke mechanics, and because the show was a hit they weren't so scared of getting cancelled, they actually had a bit of storyline continuity moving forward. For me, it goes from a solid 7 or 8 to a 10/10 by season 4.
"He's a monk. He's gunna have 15 years of spunk backed up - how can I compete with that?" - not even a smile as a reaction - I'll never get used to Americans not getting what spunk means this side of the pond
yeah, those fellas who did the mugging would have a knife for sure. You can say you'd "take them out", but you'd just become a 2 minute news segment of "local man dies in stabbing". Might not even make the news, nowadays. Maybe local paper?
Rarely in UK sit-coms do they follow on from the previous episode. Think of it as, catching up with a friend you haven't seen for a while. Season 4 is when the cringe starts, theses are pretty tame...lol
@@wulfgold don't worry I've ever been forced to use it once and that was as a scare tactic the person I used it towards was younger than me they tried to mug me but I pulled out my own knife and started screaming like a warrior about to enter battle and luckily it scared them off

Nancy has disappeared without explanation & Jez is already bored of his relationship with Michelle, whom we'd not seen or heard of previously. Michelle, Vicky, Stu, the muggers & the muggers' associates are all one-off characters. Suze moves in with Michelle, but despite Suze being in 10 eps, Michelle is never mentioned again.

100%. Spencer saying how he'd easily take them out was hilarious. No you wouldn't mate. You'd react just like Mark did.
Inbetweeners - school in the UK
Fresh Meat - university in the UK
Peep Show - life in the UK
The trifecta.
Its their thoughts you hear and their eyes you see through.
In Britain, those two boys would be carrying around a zombie/Rambo knife 😂
Not in Northern Ireland. 🔪 b.s is nowhere near as prevalent as on mainland Britain. It's still looked upon as cowardly & below the belt behaviour
A "Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" reference! Lol. Don't Panic and never leave home without your towel!
You would like "Fresh Meat". Similar vibe
I expected Mark to celebrate his first boning of Sophie.
Big Suz is related to royalty in real life.
Sophie Winkleman
Big Soph
The mugger was in Game of Thrones - on the Night's Watch, he died in slow-mo just after killing a Wildling. I think Sam was cradling him.
Imagine Alan Partridge meeting Mark and Jez.
That would be the ultimate crossover
You have heard the old expression: 'No sex please, we're British'
I have to give it to ya - the "two thumbs up" comment at the end was funny, enjoyed this one :)
In the UK we like to boast about being cheap and finding bargains so saying you have coupons is very normal.
Big Suz is so lovely....

That was the funniest episode ever. I just couldn't stop laughing...
Big Susze is actually royalty in real life
29:30 the look on both your faces 😂😂
Oh that pointy thing Mark had was illegal to carry and is not illegal to even own, even formally exempt antique examples...👀😑😂💜
Sophie in Season 1: “Jeremy! You can’t go round hitting people with ladles!”
Sophie in Season 3: “You really whacked him didn’t you?” 😍
You need to watch this video by Zealand
" Why usa sucks at football"
He explains the history of the sport in the US
This is why always keep a knife hidden in my boot whenever go out in case someone tries to mug or stab me
Keys, totally legit to carry. Knife - even in boot - there'll be questions.

@@wulfgold In the UK, carrying a knife in public can result in a prison sentence.
@@DavidZ4-gg3dm easy to avoid though, just don't carry a knife. I've always got my house keys, that's enough if I were to really need defence.

Yeah they do a terrible job of explaining the changes from seasons 2 to 3
It feels like we've missed a few eps.
@@Nick-mt4wk That doesn't explain Michelle never being seen or mentioned again.
Big Suze (Sophie Winkleman) married into the Royal family & is now the Daughter in-law of the Queens cousin (Prince Michael of Kent)
Sophie Winkleman was also in the US show Two And A Half Men.
😂😂😂😂❤️❤️
Is the monk the guy who played the fan in Alan Partiridge season 1???
No - they don't even look similar.
Michelle = best Peep Show girl.
She should've been in PS for much longer.
Nancy and Dobbie are the best hands down
@@Alex_9652 Dobby starts well, but is in PS for far too long. Her prominence in s8 makes it the least good PS series.
@@DavidZ4-gg3dm I liked Dobby at first, but after she came back from her New York trip as a woke hipster she was just annoying.

@@nickparton5663 Yes, but Michelle disappearing after this ep still makes no sense.
No-one tells the police about the mugging, nor suggests doing so.
Why would you
@@tganet7123 So the police know what happened & might try to catch the muggers.

When Mark gets mugged that's when you want to be strapped like you can be in the US.
Do you really think that if there was easy access to guns the muggers wouldn't own them? 😂
