Yep! It’s like gambling! I would never recommend it for resellers unless you have realistic expectations that the box might be trash and you might lose your money. But, they are fun videos to make!
I got a mens rescue box one time where all the clothes smelled like someone had dumped a bottle of cologne on them. Washed them repeatedly and tried all the tricks. Couldn't sell any of it. Called and complained...they gave me a $5 refund. That's it!
It has been my experience lately that if you slap Taylor Swift Eras Tour in the title for sparkly items like the black UO Dress, you’ll get more for it and it will sell quickly. Add Reputation Era too since it’s black. -Sincerely The mother of a Swiftie
I want to let you know that you are one of the few on youtube that I enjoy watching. Your information is very useful, your presentation is very pleasant and good to listen to. Keep up the good work !!!!!
Came here to say the same thing. Linda Allard Ellen Tracy is way more expensive. I think most of their jackets are between 400-500 new. I've sold a couple pieces for good money. Definitely try it out.
I think RealReal takes wholesale palettes. There are many items that are not on their accepted designer list. Since they closed the Chgo store and added processing + return fees, I have stopped consigning.
Wild fable quilted jacket was a tiktok popular dupe for the free people jacket at one time. Maybe list and put that In description. You could easily get $25 for it because those still retailed for $49.99 at one point I think. 😅
You should list the Primark shoes! Primark does exist in larger US cities - but they don't do online sales, so people might be looking for the brand on resale sites.
Oh my goodness the puppy paws comin' at ya in the beginning .. so cute!! I've only done the 50lb denim box once .. got my money back pretty quickly but definitely not something I would do often. It was a lot of work. Looks like you got some decent stuff overall! By the way I really love when you do the food break and that you show the steps to make the dish. When I'm financially able to, I'll be giving them a try. You make it look so easy (and I hate to cook LOL)
That J. Crew factory skirt...60s inspired...I totally bought that when I first started reselling clothing and had no idea what I was doing. I thought it was so cute but it became a thorn...took soooo long to sell. However it always reminds me of the beginning of clothing journey. Too funny.
Ellen Tracey was never a designer brand, but was sold in department stores in coordinate groups like Macys, Dillards, etc. It is from the 1980s. tough sell. No one is looking for this brand. But there are some stunning vintage pieces from the 1980s out there like oversize silk blouses with big prints and shoulder pads.
The item with the handwritten tag, could have been a sample, I used to go DTLA to a specific place, they had lots of samples sometimes... Of course DTLA is sort of turned into a sewer, of interesting miscreants... using drugs laying around passed out... Fentanyl... As bad as Santa Monica and Venice Beach, which used to be major tourist destinations, and are not safe... folks book hotel rooms, but then they're gone elsewhere by the next day.. tremendous effect on the local economy...
I have had luck with using windex and a toothbrush for sneaker scuffs! I have never had luck with magic eraser. I also toss them in a lingerie bag and run them through a cold wash.
It looks like deodorant marks on the Boden dress. I'd just use a wet washcloth to try and get it off. I can't believe the RealReal took Ellen Tracy! I really don't understand them. They accept that but send back a adorable Dolce & Gabbana skirt I had that was flawless. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Primark is available in the USA, I live in the UK and primark is not the best brand as they are really cheap and quality isn’t great. I avoid primark when possible. It’s coming to my city
Well that was fun... I tend to only get the men's boxes so it was interesting to watch yours. Ellen Tracy WAS a designer (but not luxury) house in the 70s and 80s... and I was sending my Ellen Tracy by Linda Allard career stuff to The Real Real until I broke up with The Real Real. Ellen Tracy as a brand gradually got watered down then was sold, and is now only at Macy's I think.
I ordered a ThreadUp box once. I'll never do it again. Felt like I just threw my money away.

The random paw showing up in the shot! 🤣

Ooh, that's smart.

Agreed - and Courtney is so good at keeping expectations manageable. She doesn't "oversell" things for views. Refreshing.
Thank you so much for the nice comment! It means a lot to me 💕
100%
Ellen Tracy by Linda Allard sells for decent money now that it’s vintage. Also depends on fabric and style. Silk seems to do quite well.
I loved the silk sweaters

JC Play, I think is Jeffrey Campbell
Thanks for sharing!

Ellen Tracy was one of my favorite brands to wear. 25-30 years ago it was very pricey.
Hi. I'm just checking to see if you sold the Vans? I checked your Poshmark closet but didn't see them. Thank you.
Hey Courtney, Interesting mix in those bulk boxes, thanks for sharing your haul and your advice is always great!
I have the same understanding of the purple label Ralph Lauren label versus the black label. Thank you for sharing your video.

It is super easy, so hopefully you give it a try. Keep me posted if you do! Also, puppy paws are hilarious 😂

I can remember a few items like that from my first few months of reselling 😅 So, I guess it’s good that I passed on it!
I used to love their Goody boxes. I wish they'd bring those back.
Hi all good morning happy Thursday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you all amazing Supporter
I feel like you could rock those striped H&m shoes!
Lol, but I won’t 😅

Yea, I noticed some awesome pieces when I looked it up. Definitely some nice vintage pieces!
Could be deodorant marks on the Boden dress. I use the Gal Pal deodorant remover pads. Love the video.

the last Asos dress is stunning!! 😍😍
I think I saw a hole in the bust area of the black Micheal Kors one arm dress.
Ralph Lauren black and purple are the highest.
I have had luck with using windex and a toothbrush for sneaker scuffs! I have never had luck with magic eraser. I also toss them in a lingerie bag and run them through a cold wash.
Thank you for the tip! I would have never thought to try windex. :D
Omg, I love that you pronounce it like I do!! Hahaha, I had to Google it but C/MEO is pronounced "cameo" ????? 😅 I say smeeeooo too 😢
Lol, I’m sure I won’t remember that next time, but I appreciate you sharing! 😅
Did you pick these out or is it mystery boxes? I havent seen mystery boxes on their app before
I love these unboxing videos. Thank you for another great video.

It was faded, no deodorant marks.
Can you make a listing on posh of a bunch of the same size items? I do them and they sell. 5-7 items in the same size for $25-$30
Wow Courtney! Some good some not but easy way to fill in Inventory. Love your video's! Take care;
Thanks so much! 😊
Love the Calvin Klein Black and white dress
I like the Sorels!!
You have a new puppy?.. I’ve been out of the loop for awhile🤗
Yep!
Yard sales items
Why not put the dog in another room

Dillards is where I live high end store
I think it’s like a Macy’s?? All price points department store?

Missed your informative comments and humor! 🤗
Was talking to my son about the gorgeous view from your porch. He lives in San Diego. I couldn't remember the name of the town you live in???
Yes, Tehachapi! About 4 hours (no traffic) from SD.
