- When we switch on our TVs we assume the actors who speak our local languages are natives but this is not true. In reality, some of the actors we watch on South African Television are not South Africans or have foreign origin.

Thank you so much SA to well came us here with open arms you keeps your promise of sharing with entire Africa 🙏🙏🇺🇬🇿🇦

Most of this people are of 2 parents from 2 counties. The belong to both countries. It's their heritage. Nothing can be done about that. Viva diversity!!!
Griffins 🇿🇲 super proud that he's my country person. Zed to the world
Newsflash he's not Zambian. Hes my uncle I know him from home not tv
I remember Raphael Griffiths very well, him and I shared the same desk in jhb Heartwood College
I'm proudly to be African ✌
We are all African's so stop hating each other, everyone is a foreigner.
Saying someone is not south African, is not hate. It simply means that they were not born in the country.
That's good to be African we are one
Yes, no to illegal foreigners. we are one but each to his/her own country.

Your father is from where
I am very impressed with your profile and personalities..I also admire your good sense of humor here, where are you from.?
If 1 parent is from SA the child is south African
If parents came from another country legally and the child is born here, the child is south African
Nope, it won't make them South Africans. You need to have South African parents to be one
Persons born in South Africa before October 6,1995
Persons born in or out of wedlock on or after October 6, 1995 if one of his or her parents is either a South African citizen or a permanent resident. For those born before October 6, 1995 the mother of the child must have been a South African citizen at the time of the birth of the child

Did u know..Trevor Noah was born in South Africa and raised in Zimbabwe, where he lived until he was five years old. When the political situation in Zimbabwe escalated, Trevor, his mother, and his sister fled the country. They settled in Johannesburg, where his father was a pastor. Trevor attended the Parktown Boys’ School there and later went on to study at the University of Johannesburg. He also did a semester at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the U.S.
South Africa is diverse. The very people who might hate other nationals is possible they have a foreign blood line. This is Africa and Africa is one people. ✊
Very true, just like a child who'll hate others in the family... possible for that child to be of one parent
@@Victoria-yq5ml true
Trevor was born in 1984, based on that, they left Zim for SA in 1989. Thing is, thing didn't go pearshaped in Zimbabwe until 1995...when Trevor was 9 years. So where is the truth in your claim?

This means that there is something wrong with other African countries film industry, esp my country Zimbabwe. During the 80s And the early 90 we were on top of Nigeria And same level with SA. But now all our best actors and actresses crossed the border to SA because our film is dead. Only South Africa and Nigeria are doing well in the entertainment industry that also includes music. I am not proud to see our Zimbabwean actors on that list Because they're only growing the SA film industry than ours and it's not their fault, they need money and being marketed
Then why don't u straighten the economy in zim...
@@br0wnsug453 you mean why don't i🤔
They won't like it because it's the truth

Wait, some of these celebrities were born here to one South African parent and yet you call them ‘not South African’. Being born here and to a South African parent makes them as South African as you. Besides, bantu people migrated from the Congo basin which makes most Central and Southern Africans decedents of the Congolese people.
If ur father is from outside south africa u are not south africa
South african *
@@preciousbepu432 And yet it’s the South African mother who carried the child for 9 months. In line with this, in the African context, a child is certain of whom their mother is, but not so sure of who their biological father is. This could be the reason why the South African Home Affairs tend to lean towards children born of South African mothers and foreign men as opposed South African men and foreign women. Can you really argue with nature?
@@preciousbepu432 Unamanga. In terms of the Act, a child born in South Africa and of which one of the parents was or is a South African citizen or South African permanent residence holder at the time of the child's birth, shall be a South African citizen by birth. It does not matter which parent - mother or father is the South African. This is why its important to read.
@@kokokoko3298 Don't stress yourself about the misinformation from Precious. You automatically qualify for South African citizenship if you are born in South Africa and at least one of your parents is a South African citizen or a SA permanent residency permit holder - does not matter whether it's the father or mother who is South African.
