It starts off as this joke about the Father not wanting to admit that he burned down the farm, "Maybe god should have been paying attention / He's not omniscient." And it recurs several times "God did it to us, damn him to hell" And then it actually returns in WTWS Reprise, "I burned my farm down by my own hand / If god had did it, he's a sneaky man / But now it's time, I take control of his plan." And it hits so hard because the Father finally admits that he was the one who burned down the farm and takes control to save his family. And then, of course, it returns at the end as a joke.
Underrated Lyrics: “You don’t even know her damn name” is sooooo random and I love it. “Her cat is dead” always gets me from Mariah. When all three go “I’m a cop” in a monotone unison is just the best. “It’s time to die! You’ve made my Christmas list” Man in a hurry and Gary Goldstein.
