X Bar R Chart - Minitab Tutorial

Hi Paul I have 4 samples each with 25 readings. After selecting subgroup data and cicking the box below, the data does not appear on the Left hand side box. Please assist.

The X-bar chart value falls in control; while the range value falls above the lower limit on the R chart. what does that mean

That is an out of control sign and should be investigated.

Hi Amardipsinh - no need to do that, let minitab work out Shewhart limits, they work best. The 3 sigma lmits are always too wide...
