The Estampes depict imaginary voyages to lush destinations - The final movement shows a French garden in the midst of a violent rainstorm. Debussy mixes harmony like watercolor, modulating to unexpected tonalities. He also quotes two French nursery rhymes in the melody. The impression is of a child looking through the window at the rainstorm for a while, before running outside to splash recklessly in the water. This was one of the first challenging pieces I learned in high school, and I'm happy to be able to play it again for you now!

Just curious, but would this piece be compatible to my skill level? I have finished the first Pathetique mvt (working my way through second), learning Prelude in D major (rach), and I finished Souvenir de Paganini. I’ve done also done one other Rach prelude.
