- This portrait of Mikael Colville-Andersen was filmed last year by the young filmmaker Orestis Mamouzelos in Copenhagen. He was kind enough to let us upload it here on the channel. Mikael talks about design, the life-sized city, overcomplicating something as simple and beautiful as cities. He suggests that we go Back to the Future and embrace our Urban Origins.
As Orestis put it:
"I am pleased to have made this portrait of the passionate urban designer, author and tv-host Mikael Colville-Andersen. I wanted to make a film about his work, his philosophies and his thoughts about the urban design of our cities in order to bring his passion to a wider audience. The subject of urban design and cities is not often portrayed and that itself was the drive to approach one of the world’s leading thinkers on the topic and make this film.
Thank you Mikael for all your time and effort put into this!"
I was introduced to you via the outstanding channel 'Not Just Bikes'. I appreciate this video. You do good work Mikael.
Colville-Andersen in a nutshell? I like it!
Like this - very you
Good. Awesome. Pro production. Too short ...
I agree
We need the authorities that manage these to have people that observe and ask people that visit a particular area. If there are no visitors for some reason or people around, ask the people living around there, what would they think would be better instead.
But this would require too much work compared to just drawing crap on a map.
Sin palabras 👏👏
4:00 Incompetent politicians? But isn’t incompetency (along with empty promises) a prerequisite for admission? Great video! Cheers.
Sounds like the peter principle to me.
