Ditto x4 has been my main looper for 6 years. I sold it to buy a Boss RC600 ... it's cool and powerful, but sometimes I miss the ease of use of the Ditto x4
Looks possibly like vaporware and there is no other sign of this pedal to be found. This is a holy grail product and TC may be trying to get "the jump" That algorithm is *extremely* difficult and were it actually working well we would also be looking at a drum machine that could analyze your "groove" and actually follow you. Future of music tech is looking promising and sad - not learning to play in time or play to a beat is a fundamental learning step for a new music student - this type of technology gives people with bad rhythm a false security/sense that they can play in time 😅
I was thinking this too but you do have to be in time. It's more for helping to get rid of the tiny glitch that you can get by not being robotically in time which is hard to do and can ruin some loopers. Plus you can turn it off as well.
@@aaronshortmusic It's meant to assist beginners getting started with looping, just like you say. Often your sense of time, or the coordination between your foot and your hands etc. is not as good as it will be later. Some find it frustrating to get started with looping. Over time, as you gain experience and your timing improves, the need for the algorithm will fall away.
Not if they actually got this right. I have no problem punching in all night long on my gig but many do. Also, if they can do that it means a drum machine that self corrects to the groove is entirely within range. We will see!
@@peteleoni9665 at least from what I myself tried at the show, their tech can indeed fix a little error, but I also experienced it introducing one where there is really none... so it will be interesting to see if they can fix that or if its just an inherent issue with 'fixing' the players timing errors with an algorithm that cannot know your musical intent, just take a really good guess.
@ksukhia One thing for sure AI can most certainly be trained as a drummer. Why you ask? Because even drummers can be trained to be drummers. Bwhaaahaaaa!
This is probably the best thing in namm 2025!
About damn time!
Definitely a nice algorithm for the ditto!
Thanks. We love using it.
TC? Where is another video of this? I want to believe you all.
Speaking of the plethora ... any chance this will make it into the looper on that?
Unfortunate for us, Plethora doesn’t get any updates
File this under self driving cars and ChatGPT doing your homework
Havent seen anything else on it either. Not the greatest example if you adk me but hope it works and isnt outrageously priced
When will this be available please?
Give us a revised Ditto x4

@ The problem is…i want my analog dry signal😊
2x4? naming is hard, but i would still dig it
Ditto2x2 because i want two independent starts and stops😁

Looking forward to the article.
@tcelectronic
That makes 2 of us if you guys got this right!
@@peteleoni9665 I tried it and from what I could tell in the short time I tested it, it works!

@ Yes I agree. I think it’s a good thing.
Thats a worthless video

@@ksukhia Karl - Long time! I didn't notice this but hopefully they can continue to tweak the firmware before launch.
@@aaronshortmusic Hi Aaron! yep long time indeed! Hope all is well.
