I've been a fan of this group and song for a long time, and I cracked up at the "chou chou chou pikachu" part :'D They look so young because the members have been changing over the years. None of the original members are still active in this line up. They count the members in generations, and currently the group consists of generation 9 to 17th. But there is also only one member left from generation 9, it's the girl in the pigtails who speaks in the beginning. She's been around since 2010! And the newest members have joined last year. Thanks for reacting and greetings from Austria to Denmark!
The most senior member Erina Ikuta is the last remaining 10th generation member. She’s been in the group for nearly 14 years. The most current generation is the 17th generation. There have been only 47 members in their entire 27 year existence.
Over the past 27+ years that Morning Musume has existed, Every girl that's been in the group (17 generations) has had the pleasure of knowing what it is like to have a Number 1 single. Thier latest no. 1 singles, released this year: Nandaka Sentimental na Toki no Uta => Song of a somewhat sentimental time => ua-cam.com/video/nKqJMT2Dzw8/v-deo.html Saikiyou => The Peak => ua-cam.com/video/SdzaettYxyc/v-deo.html Morning Musume has sister groups, their names are: Angerme (Angel Tear) Juice=Juice (Juice, Juice) Tsubaki Factory (Camellia Factory) Beyooooonds (Beyo for short) Ocha Norma (O-cha-no-ma) Rosy Chronacle - newest little sister group who will have their major debut in March 25
6:08 In this scene, they perform a horizontal chopping motion on their chest, which is a homage to the gag "Aiiiiin" by comedian Ken Shimura, who has made Japanese people of all ages and genders laugh from the 70s to 2020.😆 The reason why the end is so clear is because that year he suddenly disappeared from our sight due to a global epidemic.😢
"MUSUME" means ①daughter ②girls in Japanese, but in this case it is used as a general noun for ②.😊 And as others have said, the members who sang this song when it was released are all now parents, even though they continue to work in the entertainment industry.🤭
This modern version is good, but I'd like you to also check out the original version of the music video if possible.😊I'm by no means a serious fan of their current group, so please take my opinion as merely that of an old, nostalgic, biased person, but while the idol image of the original members in the past was very Japanese, I don't think their current makeup and makeup are that different from Korean idols.🤔 I feel a little sad that the image of Japanese idols, who have maintained their originality despite being mocked as Galapagos, seems to have been lost.🥺
5:24 The comment made by the wife, "It's like cho-cho-cho Pikachu, so catchy," was also funny, but the husband's comment, "cho-cho-cho itacho," sounds like "super super super chef" to Japanese ears, so it's really funny🤣

They are not the same members as 1998. The casting is evolving years by years with new members and some who "graduate" from the group.
