You could do a 9-week format with the first 3-weeks being 7 games as a BO1 (single round-robin), then the next 6-weeks being BO3s (single round-robin again). All of it regular season with 2 broadcast days and the already existing super weeks. Each team meets every other team twice, first as BO1 then as BO3. So a sort of hybrid between the current LCS and LEC formats.
I either want a triple round robin or a best of 2 format. Triple round robin would go back to 9 weeks if you still did a super week at the beginning and end with one somewhere in the middle. Or if you did best of twos I'm not sure if they would do 4 matches a day or if they would want to do 3 days of broadcast every week so honestly I like the triple round robin the most. Best of 1s are more entertaining imo I know that isn't shared by everyone. You are missing the skill expression of really diving into draft game to game and taking advantage or disadvantage of champion pools but I like saving that for playoffs and triple round robin still gives you a better sample size with more games and gives you the extra two weeks back if you do it the way I said for teams do develop throughout the split.
BO1's let me watch my team play, and then maybe stick around. I only have a few hours a weekend to watch LCS, I'd really like to see my teams, and not have to scheduled a whole day to watch a single match.
ideally we would have double round robin bo3s for the more games by expanding the calendar schedule and introducing a third broadcast day like super weeks but we know riot will never invest for that. also i think last time they tried that the viewership dropped. i liked it tho and would still prefer that

what about a point system where they play more bo1 , but only half of the total number is actually live with the whole production team in the arena, and the other half is live vods or something. Arena games are still same days (weekend) and same quantity, but a win is worth 2 points , a streamed vod game (week) win is 1 point. So watching live games in arena doesnt change compared to right now, and the games themselves have more stakes, and then there is still more games to watch for fans that want it, with so lower production cost ( maybe just a caster duo casting a vod on week days). Also that will make some content for the analyst desk etc to talk about in pregame time-stretch, clips from the week game vods etc

I don't even know how he came to the conclusion that bo3s or playing a extra bo3 would be bad. When most players want more games. Every team would alternate playing the extra bo3.

Never fails. 2.Regarding best of 3s, leave it Saturday and Sunday airing the top 2 matchups that given day on the main stage/broadcast and have co streams follow the 2 off main stage games during the main games. Make sure all teams get a chance on the main stage at some point.

Is a bi-week not a viable option? I haven’t looked into the math on a biweek for teams so they’d do 2-1 and then just cycle teams bi weeks?
