looks like rachel finally got some media training lol. in all seriousness the cast seems really awesome and im super excited for the movie
she most likely told what she was told to say during SW interviews. that’s what disney wanted it to be marketed. besides, she wasnt entirely wrong. the original film is weird and definitely does contain problematic elements. she had every right to call that out
@@chillimom3728 the problem wasn't that she called out what was wrong with the movie, there definitely were aspects that were questionable. the problem was that she was acting like snow white falling in love was a bad, and that she should 'be a leader'. she was also kind of disrespectful to the cast in the sense where she said she would be okay if all the prince's scenes got cut, etc. I understand the attempt at a feminist perspective on the movie, but she was straight up ignoring what real feminism is, which is being able to chose whatever path you want in life, weather it be love or ambition or both. love isn't bad, it's just the way it's portrayed sometimes in movies that's bad. she could've talked more about how they were going to modernize snow white's love story, not bashing that whole side of the movie. i have nothing against her, she seems like a lovely person with legitimate arguments I just think the way she worded things was off
@@brianna22 Yeah, i do agree that what she said was a little annoying and not true feminism, and I totally agree with everything you said here, but I thought it was actually disgusting how people went after Rachel online and even sent her death threats. She didn’t really do anything bad imo, and the reaction to it was so uncalled for tbh.

@@brianna22 again, that is the direction disney is trying to go with the remake. I doubt she had the authority to refuse what the production would want her to say in front of the camera. The whole “I don’t need a man” concept was not her idea.

Tom Blyth seems very genuine and articulate (which is impressive considering Rachel Zegler glued her eyes on him the entire time he spoke and made 500 facial expressions all while he was talking, i hate when people do that. Tell me you don’t feel judged or nervous when someone is looking at you 100% of the time you’re talking). But the rest of the cast seems so nervous! I get it though because i would prob get nervous in these situations too but at times it just feels awk to watch THEM feel so awkward lol. It can be endearing to some though i guess

I'm not going to let Hollywood ruin the beautiful memory I have of the source material Like The Witcher, and The Silmarillion, which are also some of my other favorite books, I wish I hadn't watched the show/movie adaptations. I've learned my lesson. Not taking the risk with this one, especially with someone like Zegler in it. Sometimes a beautiful book is better off remaining a beautiful book.
