If you have chronic depression or are just feeling down, listening to inspiring classical pieces such as this one are one of the best ways to regain that will to keep fighting.
BEST RENDITION I'VE HEARD IN A LONG TIME. PLAYED BEACOUP WELL. WITH GREAT TECHNIQUE & NUANCE. PLAYED W/ LOVE AND EMOTION. LOVED IT. TOTALLY LOVED IT...............
This short piece moved me very much....prob a combination of the great piece itself, combined with the delicate, knowing treatment here by Mr. Roos..Grand job, Mr. Roos
Arguably the best performance of this piece I have ever heard. I've been playing it myself for a year or so now and never got close to such perfection. Perfect.
Straight and honest interpretation--brilliant! Not the artificial sentiment of some performances. Transition at 3:30 beautiful with lightly tapped chords. Like how chorus is restrained and not overdone as well.
I love this piece :D I remember hearing it when I was a little kid, watching Courage the Cowardly Dog. I've been wondering where the music came from and now I found it :)
Love this interpretation, in the climax of the song he doesnt pressure to showing of playing that part fast like the other pianists that I found in YT, he just played It with such a loving touch..
Lars Roos is wellknown for having been Birgit Nilssons tour pianist - and for having recorded the somewhat cheezy series of easy-listening "Ear-candy", which some Swedish critics frowned upon. I personally hold him as a good interpreter of the romantic repertoire. When this was recorded, Roos had lost much of his eyesight which may explain the unexpected tempo and crescendo loss.
nevermissedabeat wow here is someone who knows Lars. Totally true. But he never lost his exceptional performance abilities, ever. And this is some of his best. But still it does not get into his skills at all. Kisses from Ingegärd and son.
Very nice! Nice that he doesn't carried away trying to show off how fast he can play too. Damn that part @3:11, I can't get through that to save my life!!

@flyurway okay take a lsiten how he plays at the time 2:25 -approx 2:31 at about 2:28-9 he slows down all of a sudden. So i am just like you can't do that in a performance. Even i can play better.

This has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Wonderful interpretation.
Thank you. :D
No, thank you, Franz. You're awesome.
I know. :)

My absolute favorite interpretation! I can feel the progression of the dream and yearning throughout.
MollyGianna there is no one like Lars.
Staring at the screen for 5 minutes straight. Beautiful.

Graham Reid yes it's Lars. Keep perfecting it! Go for it.

Fantastic playing - really brings out the melody the whole way through; lovely stuff. Thank you!
This is definitely the best interpretation of the piece!
I love this piece :D

Wunderschön!
I can't fathom how people would dislike this
Me encanta el Conterto de Yundi Li. Es hermoso y Liszt es uno de mis compositors favoritos. Mili Mirabal
This song, "Liebestraum" is traditionally played at funerals in my family. I think the translation (Love's Dream) is quite appropriate.
@MrNatkov "TAM...TAM...TAM............. TAM TAM.. TAM TAM.. TAM TAM...TAAAA
i agree, this version is just exquisite
I can't tell if it's my low-quality earbuds, it's just weird acoustics, or if this guy is actually humming at 1:04, 1:30, 3:15, and 4:22!
Hmm, I don't hear it.
I don't hear anything. This guy has made a difficult piece look easy and for this I give him credit.
Yes he is. Why shouldn't he?
Belíssimo!!!
Where'd this guy come from? Very nice! I think he wimped out some on the cadenza though but I guess that's just his interpretation.
@flyurway He comes from Sweden.
brilliant!
Bastante hermoso
@marooki thanx, i really appreciate it, this piece is superb
This is pretty good. I recommend Daniel Barenboim's.
3:11
That was flawless, seamless, and phenomenal.
Any tips on how to improve on it?
Oishii Music Lots of slow practice... it also helps to group the notes into groups of 6
Hahaha practice?!??!! Lol yeah 20 years of practice
