My uncle told me you can unlock Yoshi in Deltarune Chapter 3 when it comes out. You have to replay Chapter 1 and 2 and only talk to Toriel and Father Alvin about Yoshi, and *only* them. And then when Chapter 3 comes out, there’s a special scene where the TV changes to Super Smashing Fighters and you have to fight Yoshi in order to unlock him for your party.

To be fair, given the right optimizations, someone could recreate Deltarune for a SNES, but that ROM would still have to be run on something like an Everdrive or an SD2SNES.
I remember being so happy for my 7th birthday back then getting the home console for deltarune, I’d remember waiting hours at the arcade so I can play the boss rush mode since the aracade removed the story mode because they didn’t want kids being at there for like 2-3 hours, not much has changed though, they might has well kept it since the lines were so long.
So you got home console for deltarune, and then waited hours at arcade for your turn. I mean yea, there were some arcade exclusives like this robot thing, or clown guy, but waiting hours for it is crazy.

fun fact Sonic cd's soundtrack uses the "big hit" sound effect (exact same one since the big hit is really old and is used semi widely) but that game was in 1993, so it wouldn't work in the "1991 the year of sonics release" aesthetic unless you are able to push to sonics third game. In '91, Toby released this: Deltarune, his most accomplished game. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "BIG SHOT", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of non-conformity and the importance of trends! It's also a personal statement about the developer himself. Hey, Mike!

It's not an HD port, the game is unchanged except for the soundtrack actually utilizing Toby Fox's master tapes.
