Thank you! My button was sticky from being pushed too far on the shaft. Once I realized I could remove it, now it's great. Plus I can replace the battery if I want, looks like a common JST-XH connector or I could just solder on the old one.

Glad you found it helpful Steve - as for the connector, sorry, that's way above my pay-grade.

Thanks for the video. Don't throw out the old case - you might need it one day. Mine has just broken off the lug at the bottom so it is no longer held in place on the helmet clamp. I emailed Sena in the USA yesterday and I hope I can get a new case. I don't know if I should have tried the Australian agent first - I don't think he'd have the parts but maybe...
I'm confident I can replace the case, I've already replaced the battery (I'm an electronics tech.)

Cheers - yes I've kept the bits, as always - the last time I threw something out I needed it the very next day. Good luck with fixing it. I guess that another broken one with a good case would be cheaper than a genuine part.
It all came apart so (too?) easily - I was surprised. I can see why they don't call it "water-proof".
Do you still have the RR? I learnt to drive on a Series III Land Rover, then Dad replaced it with a Range Rover of similar vintage - 2 door, manual. Quite the beast to drive.

@@oneblackdogrides Yes, my wife calls me a hoarder because I save stuff just in case... I've had a reply from SENA but only an acknowledgement. I've previously replaced the battery with one I had on hand but your video shows just how easy it is to get the case off. Thanks for that.
I've moved on from the P38A Rangie to an L322 (it's a great drive!). I'm a nut case - I've had 5 Rangies (all secondhand), a Discovery 1, a V8 110 County, and a Series IIA trayback (again, all secondhand) LOL

Hi! I watched your video interestingly. Would it be okay if I could ask you a question? I lost the rubber charging terminal cover of the smh10 while driving, so I got a replacement part. Should I just fix this with a bond? I don't know what to do.

Thanks for watching. Did the original one tear or break? Can you take it all apart and put the new one in the same way as the original. I'd be careful with glue as it might get glued closed. Good luck with it.
