I’d like to say this as a suicidal person, usually someone saying “I CARE FOR YOU” does not help in these situations. Rather, it would be better for you to say why they should stay and give them reasons that life is worth living. For example, a few weeks ago, i had the pills in my hand. I knew my sister, my best friend, everyone who knew me cared about me at least a little, but that didnt stop me. Instead, what stopped me was the fact that my best friend had already lost 2 friends and i didnt want her to suffer even more. Also, i wanted to finish that book with her. Stating reasons is much better than just saying “please dont go” or “we care about you” or “it will get better i promise”
