    Good video. Good introduction. I would have liked to see more of the miniatures, but that should be coming soon.
    I didn't back the game. It looks fun and I'm exited to learn more about it.
    A hexagonal cube is called a hexagonal prism. 🤓

      I was originally planning to go through all the sets and the miniatures, but there was so much I wanted to say that it would have made a video that was waaaayyy too long! Happy you enjoyed the video, and of course it is a prism 🤪 having those moments when recording where the words don't come!

    For Defiance lvl-up skill management I've found a neat solution - mini-us card sheets with pockets. You just fill them up as you progress and have everything on a single A4 page. Good for storage too.

      That is a great idea! So much easier to bring them all out on one sheet rather than trying to deal with them individually and dropping them all on the floor.

      Yeah, the miniatures are great and I will share more about them in a future video. I am now painting at my table getting as many of the models ready to be played again and I cannot wait to try and do the campaign.

    Have you been able to make heads or tails of the “frontal angle of vision” vs “angle of vision” for the megabeast?
    The rules section for that topic uses a symbol that lacks a description and I cannot tell what it’s supposed to mean.
    Additionally, the event/behavior cards have two different versions of that threat / vision angle symbol, and they are not clearly explained in the rules.
    Last rule I have trouble with is how exactly the black market functions. The campaign book essentially says “players can buy stuff from the deck” but it lacks any mechanics for how that’s done. Do we have full access to the entire deck to buy what we want? Is it a draw system with x number of cards available? No clue
    Appreciate any thoughts you might have on these topics

      Frontal angle of vision and Angle of vision are shown on p.50 of the rulebook in the bottom left. The frontal angle of vision shows the facing of the Megabeast, while the angle of vision shows the far edges of the cone of vision the Megabeast has.
      This may not be what you are asking, but I will go in a little detail about the event/behaviour cards: Event cards (the ones you draw at the beginning of the round), sometimes have a hexagon with an arrow pointing down, this signifies that the Megabeast is appearing if not already on the table.
      When the Megabeast is on the table, then you draw the behaviour card. There will be two symbols at the bottom. The first shows you the threat levels on each side of the Megabeast in relation to its facing (red/yellow/blue threat level numbers found on the Megabeast card). The positioning of the coloured sides on the behaviour card overrule the one on the Megabeast card.
      The second symbol on the behaviour card represents the Megabeasts movement - a hexagon with outward arrows has the Megabeast move on ARO to a space close to the Active model and the pit with a diamond above it has the Megabeast do the action written on the MEgabeast card with this symbol on ARO.
      Finally, Black Market cards are used during the Campaign. After each mission you get Oceanas to spend on the Black Market if you want. Each player gets a turn to purchase anything they like in the Black Market deck, as long as they have enough Oceanas for what they want. The order of purchasing after each mission goes from the player who is in last in the campaign up to the person in first. Once bought, unless otherwise stated, it cannot be bought by another player.
      I hope that answers your questions!

      @@ZombieSashimi thank you for your response. Why didn’t they just call it facing?! lol I love CB, but sometimes the translations cause undue confusion.
      So with that in mind (and the card 360 Visor from the Meglodrone deck) that means the threat indicator that just shows the facing icon (quicksand & seismic something) means 360 LOF, right?
      Looking back at the cards where there’s no threat indicator at all (which is what the words on pg 50 seem to point to, imho) those cards always coincide with the beast leaving the board.
      Ok frustrated confusion at ease now. Thanks :)
      Subbed

      @@ZombieSashimi one other question.
      When the behavior card has the move icon, will the megabeast move toward the active model AND draw an attack card? Or does it just mean move if needed, and draw attack card if no move was done?

    • @ZombieSashimi
      @ZombieSashimi  Рік тому

      @@MarkYale I don't have the rules in front of me right now, but irc the behaviour card with the move icon means that the Mega Beast will move on its ARO to the space closest to the active model that caused the ARO to take place. The Megabeast would then draw a card to see what attack it makes. I will update if I am wrong as I am going by memory.
      Thanks to your questions, I am inspired to try and make some tutorial videos. These will probably be quick vids that go over specific mechanics of the game for people that backed the project, but are not familiar with CB games and mechanics of the game unique to TAG Raid, such as MegaBeast behaviour.

    Awesome video. Answered quite a few of my questions! i'm strongly considering picking this up secondhand.
    I dont get to play often enough to properly absorb the full N4 rules (and all the unit special rules). Tag Raid seems so much simpler, plus I can introduce it to my non-Infinity playing mates.
    One of the big draws is using N4 tags in addition to the mining tags in the core rules... if you use the N4 tags do they use some of the more complex N4 rules or have they been written with more simple rules in mind? Are they only for use in a game using all N4 tags or could they simply be swapped out and used in a normal tag raid game against the mining tags?

    • @ZombieSashimi
      @ZombieSashimi  Рік тому +1

      Glad you enjoyed the video, the game is much more palatable for non-infinity players to learnt he basic mechanics, thats for sure.
      The N4 TAGs in TAG Raid have their own unique character card using the rules from TAG Raid. It means that they each have a slightly unique stat line or ability, but nothing too complex. There are also a bunch of HI models you can use as well, so a fun deathmatch to be played is matching a TAG and HI together as a team. Nothing has points values, so it is simply choose your models and play the game.

      I havent had a real chance to play it with people. I have just finished painting the 4 main TAGs, the remotes and prospectors along with the Stoor worm, now I just need to find people willing to try it out and find out if it is fun. For me, on paper, it seems a lot of fun, but I gotta try with people.

    heyo , looks extremly cool . i didnt back it at the time , which i kinda regret now , do you know if they would ever go into normal market ? I only mean the minis XD

    • @ZombieSashimi
      @ZombieSashimi  Рік тому

      I don’t think they will release the minis as they are. Usually these kick starters are kept exclusive to backers. They did say they will be selling excess production once all the backers had received their copies. Probably early next year the game will go on sale on the online store until sold out.

      @MarkYale Рік тому +1

      I believe they stated that while they will sell excess stock post fulfillment, the game will not be headed to retail.

    Have you played Infinity Defiance? It's a great game that the company should take another look at and support. Can you make any video on it. I got my copy on ebay with all they add on for it. Wish I got it on kickstarter when it was out. Thanks you channel is awesome for infinity content.

      Yes I have played it. I have some play through videos of the first two missions and some videos about the characters and enemies in the game. I have even written a short story series about the fall of one of the other ships, the Orpheus, that was meant to join the Defiance in the attack on the Acheron Gate. Thanks so much for the kind words about the channel!
