Thanks for the show. I was hoping to win one of your games. Maybe next time. If you haven't checked it out, Purple Haze is a great game. A little difficult to get your hands on, but worth the hunt. I have it if you want to check it out. I'm waiting on one of the expansions, but I have the rest of the game and components... ✌️
I am curious for the full review on the city games I keep meaning to try more of them out. They are just hard to find for reasonable prices. Plus I fail to get under 300 dollars n my yearly cull for the first time ever so the shelves are looking bloated. Real hard decisions are going to have to come soon
Sorry to sound like a broken record but what about Arydia? You got and started that in December. Has it not been rated or do we assume it will not be added to your collection
Im surprised you like base game everdell over everdell duo, I personally think everdell duo has streamlined everdell and made some of the fiddley rules in everdell much easier. The occupied tokens are a lot easier to keep track of and the critter/constuction symbol is so easy to understand. On top of that the variability is through the roof as the river changes season to season and the awards are changing every game. Also price wise its such an amazing deal its insane.
I can’t think of any Fiddly rules in Everdell! Also, the original scales great from 1-5 players, more with expansions. From what I have seen of Duo, it’s very simple and too streamlined.
@timnickerson5389 the tree for me was fiddly having to check which awards were out and memorizing the exact critters. In a lot of my games people just would forget about them. The tiny text in base everdell vs the easy to understand symbols in duo like the critter and construction symbols. Also memorizing which critters are free with each of the constructions. There were also a lot of nuances that might get missed in base everdell and those nuanced rules didn't make the game necessary or better for me. Don't get me wrong I love everdell but base everdell to me was definitely not a perfect experience, it just added more overhead. Duo feels crunchy and gets down to the core of what everdell is for me, fun card combos with worker placement. But to each there own. I don't have any of the expansions for base everdell so maybe some of those things I mentioned might be fixed in the expansions.
I also think Wondrous Creatures should have more goal cards. I’m really enjoying this game too!
Looking forward to Level Up where I hope I can play Wondrous Creatures. Comparison to Terraforming Mars and Life of the Amazonia? Yes please!

It's definitely added 🙂 my original play was when I played the prototype, so it wouldn't have shown up in these videos.
Of course. Should have thought of that myself.
Is it time for a first impressions video? Either with or without Meg?
