Tbh I can see why Colin thought that. I bought into it when he brought it up because he throws off balance a lot. But what Palmer was saying is that when he’s throwing off balance, he’s keeping he’s back foot connected which allows him to put as much force as he does into the ball (I’m probably butchering it lol)

What's funny about that draft. I believe that was Ryan Pace's first draft as Bears GM. Pace came from New Orleans as an assistant GM under Loomis. Sometimes, they are "assistants" for a reason.

he speaks very well...no wonder Tom Brady wanted to play quarterback for him...if he comes out of retirement, Arizona would be a GREAT PLACE to coach...just saying.

If they draft Mahomes do you think Payton retires? I think he stays. I think he knew Saints were trending down and wanted to protect his legacy and keep himself viewed as a top coach so he can evaluate teams until a situation he really likes appears.

@@pauliej345 I think he saw the amount of work ahead of him just to stay a playoff team. With Mahomes he would have been working for superbowls every year. That would have kept him there.

Whenever Sean decides to coach again I can almost say 100% that he will go back to the saints only if all the pieces are in place he misses the team

Saints GM Mickey Loomis told this same story back in 2017 or 18, so at least this one has some precedent
There was a country music star in the draft room that night that tweeted right after the lattimore pick that the saints were going to take mahomes. He tweeted that right after the pick
Saints were staying put at 11 but they were rolling with Mahomes. It's the reason why KC traded up to the pick ahead of us
The chiefs traded up in front of the saints cuz they knew the saints wanted mahomes

Yeah but the Chiefs literally traded up one pick before the saints to get him, so if that had not happened it was gonna happen
The difference being the teams 1-9 “almost drafted him” and chose not to. The Saints were the next pick and would have taken him if it wasn’t out of their hands
