I watched Soul Train during most of my lifetime (born in '71). When Louie Ski came on board the Soul Train, you didn't have to look for him in the crowd. He literally stood out in the crowd😄 with his height and his cool dance style. Cheryl Song was the Female who stood out like "a sore thumb" too. These two dancers are iconic. When you talk about Soul Train, you can't help but mention Louie Ski and Cheryl Song.
So Very True..... those 2 Soul Train Dancers are UNFORGETTABLE 4 sure!! Cheryl Song ( the long hair) and Louie Ski (his dress, his moves, the skits and NICE on the Eyes for us LADIES!!😊😊) but dancers stood out..... Those YESTERYEARS!!
When we "4 By Four" performed there, we were just as excited seeing Lou as they were seeing us back then. We would wake up early just to see Lou and what moves he would do each week for years. I remember when he and his boy first came on the scene and was on the floor, before they worked their way up on the platform stage which was the train. They had to put Lou up there because he was made for the camera. We would tune in to see him as if he was a celebrity performing each week. Especially when he would do those Michael Jackson steps. That's what first caught our attention, because he had them down packed! Lou is just as much a Soul Train legend as any entertainer in my book!
@@cuttymack77 💃🏿🙋🏿♀️ Hey light skin !!!🤣😂😂🤩 I couldn't remember your name. I mentioned you in one of my other comments. I thought you guys should have at least received a wardrobe stipend. Everyone knows that certain dancers on that show were a staple, and knew we were going to be entertained. But it's NICE REALLY NICE you guys came out on Top. I was surprised 😱 you responded to comments.🙂🧚🏿♀️💃🏿👏🏿👏🏿👍🏿
louie ski carr Respect due my dude. Loved watching the Train with you and your boys. I’m glad you made a career for yourself. You made my day bro. I still imitate your moves to this day. Salute!!!
Louie Ski Carr was one of the most dynamic dancer-performers on Soul Train. He was my all time favorite and he had a way of getting everybody involved in his dance routines. He had style and showmanship! You never knew where he would pop up or what dance routine he was going to do but he never disappointed ever!!

Wow, I remember being call to the tv to see who this character was that was dancing. Cutty was definitely diffrent from the norm. At first, I did like him... bUT the way he act and dance I look for him every time Soul Train came on. I couldn't deny how I pretended not like him,but I did. Salute Cutty, you're definitely part of Soul Train history.
@@cuttymack77 first off, thanks for responding back. I definitely didn't think you would see this. But, I have to agree with most of the commenters comments, you were one of the most memorable dancers on Soul Train and dance you did...
My mom and I used to call him, "Mr Cool". He didn't really dance but he caught your eye every time he was on camera. He has to be the most memorable male regular on the show, in my humble opinion. A true O.G.
These were the days of great entertainment. I miss the 70”s and 80’s. Oh Lord, where did the good times go? Can we ever go home? I think not.......xxxxxx
His Soul Train Line was always must-see. In Living Color was accurate...but it's good to see that he took it in fun as he moved his career to the next level, as many of the dancers have done. We all are thankful for what Lou Ski did for our Saturdays. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Didn’t know he was mixed black/Latino not that it matters. I enjoyed his sense of humor and the crazy skits/acts he did, it took the dancing outside the box and made the show even more entertaining.
Back in the 80's there was dances every Saturday night downtown. Me and my homies would hit the floor and dance like Lou. Man we'd be impressing all the honeys! THANKS LOU!!
Mannnnnn, I couldn't wait to see what Ski had up his sleeve every week! He was my favorite soul train dancer.....the man was just cool as the other side of the pillow but had a great sense of humor too.
This man has so many cultures and diversity and it’s amazing. This man has the best of ALL WORLDS. Did I forget to mention handsome as hell. I love him in FAMILY BUSINESS. Louis ski Carr I love you❤️

The "American Soul" series should DEFINITELY put his role in their series..without a doubt💯! He began dancing on Soul Train in '80, so it would be nice to see his role on there during that time period🙂.
