It really sucks. Pain meds give you some of your life back but when they quit working after taking them for years you get labeled a drug seeker and you just have to live in anguish. I’ve been in chronic pain half my life and I’m almost ready to give up

Thank you so much life can really suck when chronic pain hits it's just like a collapse of the dominoes. We have to be gaslighted through our doctors we don't get referrals to other doctors because the doctors feel like our symptoms aren't severe, well when you live with chronic illness and chronic pain and multiple areas especially the joints and you used to see a rheumatologist but then you stop because you were feeling better and now 20 years later the same symptoms are coming back and you find doctors that are quagmires and don't want to do your job that's horrendous. I want to get spinal surgery cuz I feel like spinal surgery might be my last option but then the horror stories you hear are just ridiculous I mean how much physical therapy a person wants me to do physical therapy doesn't work when you have chronic illness especially chronic illness from birth. I appreciate you feeling and praying for us because this does absolutely nothing when a doctor is gaslighting their patients.

When the spinal column moved from side to side I felt elated hoping that will be me soon. I need and L5/S1 replacement but I have to lose 40 lbs first. Which is ironic because I put on the weight because I can’t move anymore. It’s a vicious cycle.

I live every day with so much pain that suicide has consumed my thoughts. I constantly fight back tears from the pain. I've consulted two surgeons who refused surgery because I'm "too young." How is 40 too young and what does that have to do with my condition? I've had numerous injections that help only a short term. I can't live like this anymore. I'm so exhausted physically and mentally.
