FYI, crafted gear for my DH on PTR, sitting at 474, 41% haste , 30% vers and 24% crit. 100% uptime with no issue whatsoever on tier bonuses and SoF.

Great content, but I question the perspective that VDH has been a very good M+ tank since the launch of M+, and is that a coincidence, etc. The unfortunate reality is that across all M+ seasons, bear and VDH have been the two tanks on average that are far worse than the other 4 tanks. Pally and Monk are typically mid-pack, BDK and warrior often get time in the sun, but bear and VDH usually suck in M+.

I must be doing something wrong because I’m still over-capping fury when I do keys on ptr. Maybe there are some fury generating talents not working as intended but I’m constantly hitting 120 fury even right after I’m spirit bombing

Now the real question. Have they fixed the weird macro bug with sigils where it throws an error if you have Precise Sigils taken?

The strongest spec to ever exist in wow was actually BDK at wrath launch. Took a while for people to realise how STUPID the spec was, but it was insanely OP.

Does VDH actually consume soul fragments if you run over them? I've been playing VDH for a long time and have never noticed this. It happens all the time with brewmaster's orbs, but I've never seen it happen with VDH's soul fragments.

Havent play DH but what defensive they have besides spike that make them so good? I though they where wet paper.

10% base DR, 100% uptime on Spikes in 10.2, Painbringer is 8-10% DR on average, Calcified Spikes is being reworked to refresh whenever Demon Spikes is refreshed or expires, so it's ~6% DR on average, Meta CD is reduced to 2 minutes, Fel Dev base CD is cut by 20s, Darkglare Boon is 1 point and easy to reach in M+ builds so Fel Dev CD is 28s on average, Sigil of Flame grants 20% Parry chance, has 100% uptime, and Tier Set makes it grant 10% damage, healing, and health, Fel Flame Fortification gives 12% Magic DR during Immolation Aura, Infernal Armor gives 20% armor during Immolation Aura, Illidari Knowledge gives 5% passive Magic DR, Frailty gives 10% Leech, you also Leech for 4% of all Fire damage, and heal for 1% percentage of all damage taken over the past 5 seconds for each Soul Fragment you consume, and you gobble up Fragments like a Hungry Hungry Hippo.
It's like Phil Spector's Wall of Sound, but for tank buffs.

i am a VDH Tank at the moment and am happy fodder of flame is finaly gone. i can not tell how often this damn deamon spawned AFTER the boss was done. litterly on the last hit. then you have this annoying thing running behind you or you have to kill it. also it creates a little chaos. if i want to focus one target or wait for a spell to kick, i have to change target, throw a glave and then search for the right nameplate in the 16 mobs i hold aggro to. that talent had no skill - it was just annoying.
Im so hyped to finaly play the new sigil meta 🙂 (without the annoying deamons running around with red nameplates i try to taunt in a little panic attac, until i realize it just the damn deamon 😀)

To be honest, it's subpar raid status only matters if you raid on mythic. On heroic it doesn't matter unless you're really bad; bosses don't hit really hard. I've been raiding in M+ build this whole expansion and my healers never noticed. Maybe those two tier were just easy to tank though, I mostly just do M+ to be honest, I raid for tier and trinkets lol.
