The problem with collectors in WoT: They dont actually own the stuff. If you collect Starbucks cups, you have them as long as you want, forever, in your house. If you collect post stamps its the exact same thing. If you collect tanks in WoT? No. In 5 years they milked the game to it's maximum, players left, the game died and they finally decided to pull the plug, maybe even close the servers. And now? You cant even get into your garage anymore. All your tanks? Gone. That doesn't happen with post stamps or Starbucks cups...or anything else thats non digital, truly in your ownership and physically in the place wherever you are storing it.
at same time the collected Starbucks cups is collecting dust at same time and taking space. Lets be real, both are ridicoulus capitalistic way to use human weakness to get comsumer to paid for stuff they actually dont need. To criticize one, one should criticizes them all. There is zero differences between these practise.
You can't even own games, even money is actually worthless, you can collect it as much as you want but once the economy colapses its gone.
Just like wot once the servers shut down, the game won't survive the next 5 years if it keeps on milking the customers, i get it that they lost a lot of money and players on the russian market, but thats not the way to boost the game to new popularity its the path to ruin.
Apparently, collecting is part of the human condition - it happens in a lot of individuals. Are WG doing them a favour for not creating a pile of stuff that will collect dust? Are WG ripping them off because they are selling stuff that is just 0s and 1s in a computer in a faraway land that will be switched off one day for sure? Difficult.
you do not understand. buying a tank from wg does not mean you own it, you just have the permission to play it. big difference
Well it is supposed to be a hobby like collecting Warhammer or military miniatures but it is definitely overpriced, for some the fact it is digital it is better because you are not cluttering up your home with collectibles, you are paying for hours of entertainment, so it all depends the way you look at it but Wargaming is ripping us off no doubt about it

Come on, not to defending WG on its aim for getting money out players, but its at least a MP. Just think all those "collector edition" of SP games, which usually around 80-250euro or even higher, is there any difference.... Ppl are crazy to buy these in my opinion, but then again its their money, who are we to criticizes how they spend their money? Also its not like Lootbox, this sort crazy thing is at least clearly mark what you paid and what will you get. Lootbox I have problem with, this I dont.

The problem with low tiers is there's no skill based MM so you get complete newbies with 50% crews and 30 games played playing against people like you with 56k games played and 9 skill crews.
It is not fun getting curb stomped by better players in (normally) objectively better tanks.

It's like making a lv 19 twink in WoW and go phew phew :) it has it's moments.
Currently in the shop I see the T5 M4 Improved for 17.31NA$, T3 BT-SV for 56.77$ (with freeeee golllllllld!), and the T7 IS-2 for 16.67$ - think I'll save my money and see what kind of new loot boxes get released after the 1st of the month.... maybe clan resource loot boxes or loot boxes of tech tree tanks, anyone else getting nervous about the marketing department going crazy with endless cash grabs?
Considering they are going for monthly lootboxes now you might either get a great tank or a great turd, WG always win lol

When I was F2P and knew I was below average player, I used my favorite low tier tanks to refresh the brain and to farm difficult dailies.
I still remember some of them fondly: T1, NC-31, Medium II, T7 Car and especially my beloved Pz. 38 (t).
Some of my best memories in the game have been there, in particular a tier V game in South Coast I had to carry with the Pz. 38 (t), and my first (and for now only) Kolobanov's medal as a T18 HMC.
Those days are not coming back. T18 HMC has become Jeff, destroyer of games.

T3 is a s***show with Pz 35S spamming gold. I'm new and mounting through the tech tree and now I use free XP to go T4 directly.
The matchmaking is broken. They put all the medium tanks in the same team usually and you stand no chance in a light tank. PzS35 has the highest win rate of all the tanks in the game and the other t3 meds are also top ten on win rate.
@@menfaaanda Tier 3 has probably my favorite lo tier tank in it (BT-5) but yeah; the matchmaking is completely busted there; one team getting all he Pz. S35's while the other team has to do with LT's; sometimes you gt lucky and the other team at least gets some French mediums to balance it out but even then the Pz. S35 players will generally spam gold while f2p tanks will generally be trying to pen with standard ammo and not have as skilled out crews.
I honestly think they need to build a new British heavy line for the chieftains in the game … they already have a tier 9 premium so people can train crews, It will be free (tech tree), and they have 2 other chieftain models already in the game files. I think that could draw some new players in. (Plus I love type 71 but a lot of people don’t like it)
Scam would be implying WG being dishonest or deceitful, they laid everything out, so its more like a straight up rip-off with the excessive pricing.
I remember my new guy expirience. Me and my friend played british tree and camped on malinovka in bushes whole game. Not even good bushes. Bushes right on spawn. We were laughing when someone crossed through the middle. Somehos camping there for 15min was fun

Chaos of low tiers can be fun and stress reliever. Also some daily missions are very easy to do in low tiers.
I think higher tier is the shitshow. Middle tiers seem better due to lower alpha.
There is no chaos as it was 10-12 years ago. It's just an OP full gold tryhard seal clubber competition vs small amount of newbies

NA player here. Couple of years ago this tank was availble to me for $6 US with some coupon they gave me. I bought it for $6.
Before that it was in Black market I think and it was a lot of gold for it, which I didn't care for. Few years later, with coupon for $6, I was thinking, man whoever got this tank was ripped off for overpaying in Black market.

Play this tank as a ramming tank!! Personally i call it the btsv ramwagon!!! I have the most ram kills in this tank. Train it as a rammer and setup for ramming i average 4 ramkills a game in this tank.. its the e50m of tier 3 lol
Its a serious PITA to play against , especially if you are tier 2. Ramming is definitely its strength.
"Port" map was were Chaffee race event was held if i remember right.
Im a new player on NA server. Its a struggle at times, but you're always gonna have that OP Platoon with 15K games in broken tanks out having fun. Just part of the grind.
Unfortunately, I finished grinding every WW2 line on WoT console (8 years) and came to PC six months ago. I really forgot how bad some of these stock tanks were :)

Lower tier games are fun, varied, often last longer, and you have the opportunity to sway the game if you know what you're doing. It's often a better game down there! My experience of WoT having returned after a 6 year break is that the upper tier games are just 15-1 or 1-15 within a few minutes, and there's not much most of us can do about it. So why not play lower tiers where we can have fun. It's a game, right? For fun? Might as well enjoy it before WG finally murder the whole thing.
They are more fun. The BT-SV is broken AF though. If it was tier 4, might be better balanced.
Lower tier play is really bad for matchmaking though, lots of battles where one team has a bunch of pz S35s/PAK40s and other team has maybe one pz S35 or a couple of PZ 39s plus a bunch of tech tree tanks, you know the outcome before you start, this is a good example of Wargaming trying to rig the results of battles
Yeah, the game (at low tiers) seems to favour putting all tanks of one kind together in the same team, so one team will have 3x Pz. S35 while the other gets the BT-5's. (which is my favorite tier 3, but especially in the average low tier shitter's hands it is going to lose to S35 teams every time)

Actually, some time ago WG changed matchmaker and newbies on lower tiers don't play with unicums. So, Skill got matchmaker with mostly experienced and stat-apdding players

Thats mad, i been playing game since 2016 and i have in total 12k games and most of them are in my T100LT and t34-3 wich i bought long time ago lol but holly bananas 25k games in tier 3 20k games in toer 2 wooow wtf why would someone play this much games in so low tier... I don't understand
I play lower T's to complete daily missions that Ilower T's can be used for...exampler 7 crit hits so i use a lower T spitter and done or cause damage to 25 tanks etc...again lower T spitter and finish daily missions fast. Love your vids btw :)

Anyway, even considering Gold, Credits & 30 days of premium you get, the tank itself is still quite expensive.
Low tiers nowadays is just full sealclubers (the only players who left at low tiers) and it was not always like that. It used to be fun. Even if we had same amount of "sealclubers", they were like 1 - 5% of players who played at low tiers, so it was not as toxic as it is now.
Currently, low tiers (3-4) are either OP premiums or strongest low tier tech tree tanks. Every ones else moved to higher tiers (5-7). WG killed low tiers when they removed 90% of low tier tanks & moved them to collector tanks. Grinding nowadays is also way too fast, Players land on tier 5 way too fast, without knowledge what to do. There is also no reason to play low tiers. Only tier 4& up can get battle pass points and tier 3& up can do daily missions. Tier 1 & 2 are pretty much dead. Even mm can not find games at low tiers & fills empty spots with bots.
Over the last several months, I have been playing tiers 4 and 5 because they are now part of the Battle Pass, and both get +15 points for completion.
I ONLY use lower Tier for the Mission to spot 3 Tanks. I play Dicker Max 99% of the time and this Mission can be hard to get due to lack of speed, so i switch to a Turbo fitted Light Tank/Scout and blast towards the enemy and get my Mission done and then do what i can to assist my team and then return to my TD for the rest of the day...

lol i have that tank from the time climbing and boosting was still a thing ..then it was a lot of fun (speed and power to weight ratio) now its just a boat on tracks lol (i think i got it for "free " when buying 50K gold somewhere in 2014 NA server

Low tiers aren't dead, but having played a fiar bit recently trying to master the italian t3 I found it is often overrun with seal clubbers. I have had five PzS35's per side before, PAk's are fairly common and of course B1's. Very limited in map choices though so quite dull that way

I already have that tank for years. I'm sure I didn't pay a lot for it. It might have been even for free earlier in a gold package like you get the tank when you pay for the gold that follows with it, I don't remember.

I got the BT-SV from one of the auction events for 14 million credits. Even tho I could never justify purchasing a tier 3 for 2 and 1/3 the worth if a tier 10 , I have to say that atlest this alian space ship looking tank is very fun to play in and is my favourite lower tier tank .
For me the best tier 3 is the BT-5 with the 6 shot autocannon. 240dmg every 8 seconds with workable penetration. (otherwise, still I love the Pz. Ic with the 20mm autocannon just for how fast it goes.)

Ha ha, I played a few lower tier games when cleaning out the garage with the new crew system and my experience was much the same. Going in with an empty mind is the best strategy ;) I do play the occasional tier4 game with my Luchs out of nostalgia, but it has been neutered so much :(

In lower tiers you can only learn the maps (their names at least) and to curse in different languages from ingame chat.
Long time player (all tiers) so I'll say as a historian I really enjoy the lower tiers for the tanks represented.
Plus for just pure fun it's great.
It's only taken 12 years to actually have a good laugh about WOT's! thankyou Skill! and yes this is a scam at $80 AUD on Asia server. This company floats on the border of criminality, if I had the patience I would put something together for our Department of Fair Trading and Gaming/Gambling authorities, at the very least this is a very unethical company, with shady operations and a HO in Cyprus, which is renowned for tax evasion and shady business practice.

Kajzoo recently put out a video "Is World of Tanks Dying". He pointed out quite a few things that he believed showed that WOT was nearing its end, and was trying to "Milk" the player base before that end came. I have heard that WOT was dying for more than a decade, it may not go away tomorrow but it is not in a healthy place. I also know that Skill and Kajzoo have their differences, but that has nothing to do with the issue of WOTs health as a game.
Honestly, there's at least one video every year saying that WoT is dying which cites exactly the same reasons as the previous incarnation.
On EU during the Christmas event the player numbers still reach the ~250,000 region, which is more than many games of this age on Steam.

Lower tiers is FUN! I have almost all the T10 tanks and i ended to play maximum T8. People forget that world of tanks is game and games is to have fun. Unfortunately the higher tiers is competitive game and many people are not in to that.
There's no lower tier tank that should cost more than $5, it's literally the start of the game for players, there's no reason why it should cost more than a whole indie game or in this case almost the same price as a AAA game
Well it looks to me like the WOT math is that people that buy overpowered tanks will only be willing to pay basically 50% of the 100 dollars it cost to buy the leFH18B2 a while back. And.... I bet they are right.

It's not overpriced if it gets sold.... That being said - who the F would be stupid enough to pay 40+€ for a tank you're never going to use more than 3-4 times right after purchase???
totally agree with 'shitshow'; when I was trying to make my way up the tiers and improve my skill there's literally nothing to learn in low tier, just move through as quick as possible. So much time investment for the possibility of having fun at tier 7-10

Lower tiers can be a lot of fun - just like the video demonstrates, there is potential for much more interesting matches. MM seems a bit more relaxed and there are less really OP tanks or at least most low-tier players don't know how to exploit them. XD
The bt-sv is a fun little thing to drive around. The armor is nice and trolly. But I hate playing low tier stuff with all the low tier seal clubbers that have more games in a tier 2 or 3 tank than I have total games played.
I still enjoy the game at low tiers, even T3 with all the PaK4's and S35's can still be fun, love my Russian LT's with the 37mm autocannon.
I play tier 8 the most then 9s and 10s but I do enjoy going to tier 6 as well. Lowest I play is tier 5 with the t1 heavy. Definitely a stress reliever.
I'm mostly a tier 6-8 shitter, but I will occasionally drop to low tiers just for a laugh; revisit my trusty autocannon BT-5 (which recently got buffed for some reason) or my Luchs. Still missing my Cruiser II with 3,7" howitzer though (the trashbarn of tier 3)

In a game where a whole playerbase is being scammed while hoping for a positive change. But I would say the only positive changes the devs have in their mind, is to cashgrab everything possible like in the trade in tank event where TRADE-IN AT NO EXTRA CHARGE allows you to trade in your vehicle for any of the vehicles available at no additional cost.

I like low tiers. But WG is preventing me playing it. Almost all missions in the game is 4+ or sometimes even 6+.
Battle Pass points are exhausting swiftly there.

Lower tiers 5 and under are to be fair hilarious and for the most part there's no expectations from the team everyone's in it for the giggles
For me lower tiers are amazing to let off some steam, and FCM 36pak40 is the most enojoyable to play there with 515 m of view range :)

but seriously, i think even the newbies know by now not to buy anything below tier 6, because in tier 3 mm you'll get matched up against 10 pz s35s (meanwhile your team has 1 at best) every battle.
I don't even need to look at the specs of this tank to know that this is gonna be a Russian PZ 3 J. It's goal is not to grind credits or crew training. It's just purely to seal club, and it's non premium ammo is absolutely terrible.
It will have premium match making so it will only meet tier 4 at best.
So what you have is a stat padders' wet dream, so long as you keep paying WG real money to make it work.
BT-SV as been in he game for years and it is nowhere close to the Pz. IIJ in terms of how strong it is; armour is trollish but it is still penetrable for most same tier tanks even without shooting gold; it is dealy as a rammer, but not good for much else and is dfinitely not going to replace FCM PaK's orPz. S35's as stat padder vehicles, and esecially not at this price point; it's not even in the top 5 winrate of tier 3 tanks; performing worse than 2 cheap, commonly available premiums (Pz. S35, T-127) and even a tech tree tank. (Somua S35)
Only reason to buy this tank for 45 euros is having more wallet than brains.
I remember getting this tank for free many years ago... Eventually i sold it and now i regret it, it was a decent low tier tank

this tank rocks its not a soviet p2j or a tier 3 e50m like people will make you believe its rather a tier 3 t22 so exploit when you can & dont think you can round a corner taking a 1v1 & bounce 3 different tanks firing at you while youre brawling happy hunting!!
Pixels you buy and stats that will mean nothing soon ... All money you spend in game is just self indulgence. Even for a tier 10 rare collector, asking for more than 10€ is a steal. There is no purchase there, is just extra to same game. Better off sometimes with a 60-70 € game where you are getting everything in game at once ...

I am looking positive for low tier premium because tier 8 clueless new players are surviving 1 minute avarage in any game. But the price shouldnt that high jesus thats not good.
I bought the Ankou for 22 and I felt scammed, now am thinking on buying the Kuromorimine and I feel half scammed, but no fkin way am paying 50€ for a freakin tier III, not even tier VII
