Hey Yappie. Thank you! You are so sweet. It was a fun project to do with the little ones. I still have the pieces we made and it’s just a beautiful keepsake.
I have been hearing from people that when they use the kit, it’s easier to do so with a sleeping child to keep them from squirming to get the best possible mould. I bought two kits. One for myself and one for grandma. We have a casting business around me called “wee piggies” and I seriously can’t believe how much they charge! I plan on putting a hand and foot cast, mounted in a shadow box with a newborn picture in each one.
Using a sleeping baby would be easier. My daughter was awake and it turned out pretty well. It was a mother daughter project. My advice, do whatever way works for you!
Great thank you for the video! I'm still debating weather to buy the kit first or just go ahead with the refill powder to save more $ and being able to do the full set of hands & feet plus some extras for grandma's 😊
Omg! Amazing. I’m getting ready to do this by myself too. U make it look easier though.

I would suggest to buy a kit because it comes with all the materials needed and also get some refill powder to do extra projects! :)
What did you use to seal your final product? Did you find that yours was chalky?
So are used a glaze finish that I bought at hobby lobby
Did u had to buy 2 to get the foot and hand?
On amazon the kit is sold as a hand and foot kit. So you get enough alginate for the moulding and enough stone for both!
