In this video, we continue exploring periodicity in bonding and structure, focusing on giant covalent structures and simple molecular structures. First we explore the giant covalent structures of carbon including diamond, graphite and graphene. We look at why these have high melting and boiling points. We also explore why graphite and graphene can conduct electricity. We then look at simple molecular structures and why these have low melting and boiling points.
