- We had some amazing prayers food by Aunty Jankie and Uncle Babs. These are some of the Indian foods passed on for generations with origins from our Indian forefathers. Some of the dishes we sampled were channa and aloo, mango talkari, kurhi with rice, pumpkin talkari, chataigne, stew soya with peas, and paratha roti.

Happy birthday wishes to Babs. May he have many more. Vedesh, I long wanted to see you all eating on the banana leaf. Finally I see Babs eating on it. Long ago, we used to eat on fig leaves at Indian weddings. Love all the food especially the karhee. My mother used to cook all those types of food. Tasted so good.
