Nice to read so many complimentary comments about this tune.. (Itchy Town) Was a great time, two of the finest to bless the microphone, not to mention Chester P's contribution to the other sides track.. Very proud of this one and grateful to have been able to contribute to their inevitable rise to legendary status... One Love. Zz.
Agzilla1 Respect to you as this is prob my favourite hip hop track and has given me and my mates a lot of pleasure over the years. I am producing some sample based hip hop and also am in a Hip Hop band called Halfpenny Pass - there's 8 of us 2 rappers, 2 singers - 2 classical guitars, flute sax, bass, beatbox. I you have a minute please check our soundcloud, a track called Halfpenny Pass - Stumble. Reckon you might be feeling it. I'm starting the process of setting up a music school so would be interested in any potential collaborations. No worries if you have your hands ful tho. Apologies for the rambling msg too lol
+JimmaJamma2006 Sounds good, I'll try and check soundcloud later when I'm back in the lab... Thanx for the vibes, glad the music offered some small inspiration.. One Love. Zz.
I have this on vinyl, classic, paid an arm and a leg back in the day when I was heavily into UK Hip hop. This tune is from The Mud Family EP on Ronin Records. If anybody wants to buy this, Ebay is the only way of getting hold of this gem. Produced by Deckwrecka, Firebomb Fritz and Mad Money Wah.
Still here for this. Mad how a tune can take you to a different place instantly.. Couldn't live without music. Especially the UK scene. Old Or New don't matter to me
Always loved this tune back in the day. Hard to think it was 20+ years ago now! That subtle train track/carriage sound runing through it always screamed london to me. I had it on a mix cd (possibly a rodney p one?)
iv only been blessed to hear uk hiphop for the last 2 years so i dont know much about it... only that is REAL! one ov my fav finds is blak twang - dettwork southeast. this track is a gem tho im luvin it
Yes dude! Much respect! I haven't seen classics shots of north it JY for a long time. Ye the UKHH scene Ian the same, clearly you all remember back in the early Thousands. Bit hip hop evolved. Lets just appreciate
THE best UK Hip-Hop tune of that era (in my humble opinion), early to mid nineties. Swords in the dirt was another smasher, gwan JimJam, deal with the matter, deal with it proper!
@@59SimonYea man was defo my fav rapper with Chester P for a long time. If you type out Mud Fam Little Man it is the first one on Louis slippers album. Task Force Junkyard is another to check 👍🏼
Yea was surprised that noone ever thought of putting it on. It is definately my favourite Hip Hop track of all time. Skinny's rhymes were just so fuckin raw bak then
I agree but this tune was so long ago now there. The two last great tunes I've heard since are Skinnyman / Pavan - Hold on and Let it go with Klashnekoff and TY but they are over 3 years old now. Please tell me if you think there is another classic which I am missing.
I's absolutely most definitely Mongo (who I've done a tune with) and Skinnyman, maye Skitz produced it or maybe some bellend downloaded a tune that was labelled incorrectly... Big up Itchy Town, all time classic!
'I look up on the shoulder and mad izm is the case" is he referring to track by Channel live - Mad Izm ? there some more lyrics from that track in here. If thats the case that pretty fucking dope!
@jimmajamma2006 - cheers, i'll check it out. theres a brilliant glasgow rapper called bright sparks, check his video 'Bright Sparks - Schemes'. Just recently got into uk hip hop & grime. i was mostly listenin to american hip hop before, mostly underground stuff from between 93 to 96, which is the best era in my opinion, stuff like early wu-tang, cypress hill, house of pain, mobb deep, funkdoobiest, group home etc. and others more underground like mr brady, mr lif and stuff on battle axe records.
@GeoOneloveHipHop Try listen to Task force - Junkyard or ty, klashnekoff - let it go or task force - if I had a wish (I did the slideshow) or jehst high plains drifter or skinnyman - lady heroin ( i did the slideshow)

A lot of your shit is underrated. You and Mickle have some gems from this era, and 'Better Tomorrow' and the other Ronin jammies were jewels too.
Excuse my ignorance - did you write this track?
+JimmaJamma2006 Yeah I did the music. Zz.
