SONY AVR PROTECT ERROR RESOLVED

#Sony STR-K790 model is long dead not working due to protect error tripping the power. Test of components (emiter resistor and pair of transistors per channel) were seem to be ok. Deep cleaning via vacuum and alcohol helped and made the receiver go back to life.

My DN1060is stuck on Clesring after performing a factory reset. The uCom is corrupted. Any way to force clear that memory?

No idea about that mate. When ICs are onboard they are hard to be re-programmed. Hope you can get it to working again. You might need to get it to repair shop.

Wala po sirang component, mukhang dumi po saka intermittent, mas maganda i-resolder lahat kasi mukhang mahina na kapit ng mga soldered components due to heat and age. Dinala ko narin sa Sony service center wla rin silang nakita. Pero sa age nia mukhang need na ng replacement.
