It was pre-assembled and handcrafted in Libby, Montana at Meadowlark Log Homes, then shipped to Alaska where Joas and his family built the home and finished it.

I watched the process of construction on the log home and the landscaping. I never knew person could work so hard and create masterpiece after masterpiece. They had struggles with the rain and foundation and in floor heating but Joas always figured out a solution. The whole family loved to work on it too. Watching and listening to your tour brought a new level of appreciation, especially seeing the rooms lined up. Thank you Elvie.
Joas and his family are amazing. They are doing a great job of teaching their children great ethics and skills.
Thank You Elvie and Joas and Priscilla and Family for the awesome tour of Joas’s Home!
🙏🏻🛐🙏🏻God Bless Your Wonderful Family!

Glad you had a nice visit with your family ,and enjoyed your brothers familys hard work on their home!!!! They built with all kinds of love...
So true!
Didn't realise that the cabin was made and built in Montana and shipping to Alaska. So the family members are a part in the build of it. That's cool. Glad Evie you have managed to see where Joas, Priscilla and the family live gives you a idea when you're back home where they are and what they're lifecis about. We love your brother and family and enjoying watching what they do during the week. It will be lovely once Joas is back on his feet and back to work. To see what's in the store in rhe coming days.
We are very thankful that Joas is recovering so well.
Thanks Elvie for such a nice review of a finished product. We already love Joas and Priscilla and have followed the build.

Thank you for the tour❤
You’re welcome 😊
Beautiful
Thank you
Nice place! You have a great family! I have to say I'm amazed at all of the craftsmanship and hours that go into building one of these beautiful homes. One day I'm going to have one of these on my northern Wisconsin property. Being a woodworker myself if I was younger I would show interest in joining the crew in building these masterpieces. It takes a lot of talent and experience to create these. I know your father built log homes from your other videos I think it would be cool if you guys did a documentary on how he got started and the process through the years how your company has evolved. Keep up the great work! I enjoy all of your videos.
That documentary is something that I have talked about for a while, so maybe it will happen.
Awesome home very smart to have that basement that's part of our plan when will the home go on the market thank you for the tour 😊
Not sure yet
Excellent 👍🏻🤗

Beautiful home. Love the special details. A lovely home is useful for relaxing, recuperating, and recharging to go back in the world and serve others.

The best!
G-day Alvie it really doe's look like a solid home my friend.Tell YourBrother I think he and the family did a Fantastic job on the house. I really liked the vaulted celings those oil lamps we used for real on our property 40 years ago because we had no power just a big 10 kva generator that was so noisey we had to ear muffs when we ran it so only ran it once a week to do and have shovers instead of the outside one We did that for nearly 12 months while I worked on the place I cart six forty gallon of water about 35 miles evey other day and where in the mountains it some winters it get down -11 c with no snow and thats cold.Alvie you walking around brought back a few memoires Thank you Brother and his Wife and family allowing me to view their beautiful home And I am glad you manged to catch up with your bother my old friend God bless the house all those live in it you good people, I'm going back to sleep now . Your friend from AUSTRALIA. 🫶🕊️🦘☘️👍

When we have y’all build our house, we definitely want the Starburst front truss in the front so our porch and front entrance will be covered.
I / we Love those “lanterns” for the front porch lights.
We’d also like to have them as sconces for the interior of our home.
We like modern technology that looks like the days of yesteryear.
We both grew up on farms (my wife is from Montana and I’m from Washington state).
Though we had forced air to heat and cool our house, we mainly used our wood stove and a fireplace with an insert. Both of our homes were toasty warm.
My job was to get up early and add wood to the stove, run outside and break the ice so our cattle could get to their water.
Starting when I was young, I’d drive the tractor to school so that I could come home during lunch, bust the ice in the watering troughs and add more wood to the stove.
After school I’d do it all again.
Some of the other junior high school students started driving their tractors to school as well.
I suppose when you live in a farming community, kids driving tractors to school was over looked by the Sheriff. I’m sure that unlicensed kids wouldn’t get away with that today. But back then, people did whatever it took to get things done.
In the spring time, when it didn’t get below freezing, we weren’t allowed to drive our tractors in. We had to take the school bus.
Elvie, I am curious about Joas scorching the exterior of his house. Does that last longer than the stain and sealant?
Have fun visiting with your brother and his family.
Oh and did you get your truck looked at for the emissions issue?
Be Blessed !
Doc
I think burning the exterior is quite effective. The one thing it won’t do is it will not seal like a weatherproof seal so in rainy, windy climates maybe it wouldn’t be a good idea.
@@AmishMeadowsOfficial Thank you Elvie
Your cabin is beautiful 😊. Don't sell it, you all fit well in it.
They are thinking of building another one right there after they sell this one.
Might think of a handrail in stairs. Great when young but as a person ages its necessary
Yes
🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
How did Jonas get the “veins” in that concrete countertops?
Our Granite countertops in our bathrooms are “Rainforest Brown “ and in our master bathroom in the shower and the bathtub surround is “Rainforest Green “ Granite.
The brownish red veins in our granite countertops are petrified wood.
You can look it up online under Granite and type in “Rainforest Brown” or Rainforest Green “.
It’s beautiful Granite.
I don’t know how he did it. It’s really a nice countertop.
@@AmishMeadowsOfficial Yes, I really like what he did with those countertops
Thank you please read Romans 10:9-13❤
Thank you and I will read that
Are they really going to sell the house? That makes me sad.
They will sell it and build another on their neighboring lot. The new buyers will be their neighbors.
