You guys don't know what you're missing, there's a lot more funny things that have happened in conference since that time. You should look into it again, or at least watch the conferences after President Monson, there were plenty of funny remarks scattered around in them.
Hey I know this is random but I have a strong feeling that I need to share my testimony with you. I know that God lives and that this Church is true, I also know that I did not run into you via coincidence and that God loves you and wants you to come back.
I know you probably won't see this, but I invite you to give the church another shot, I can testify of it's truthfulness, and I hope you can find the same joy that I do in it's teachings! ❤
@ Dredile - I hope you consider coming back. The Lord doesn't "need" any of us, you or me, but He certainly does want us to come back to our Heavenly Father with Him. God bless you.
That was my second priesthood session in April 2008 after my first in October 2007 when it was the prophet Gordon B. Hinckley's last session to speak. I still remember the loud uproar of laughter from all the brethren in my stake center in the chapel to the overflow of my building when I saw President Monson wiggle his ears😂! I will miss him until I see him again.
Those men are very funny and talented son's of God. Plus they can make anyone laugh and bring a smile to your face no matter what kind of mood you are in.
You can. By reading the scriptures, sharing the church lessons with non lds, and follow the commandments, and many more, basically you r like him already.
They say we need a prophet for today, but I've noticed they never say "Thus saith the Lord" anymore. They just tell stories. That's okay, but why say we need a prophet for today when they've fallen silent and quit prophesying.
Prophesy is more than just saying "Thus saith the Lord." The prophets and apostles still testify of Jesus Christ copiously at these meetings. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy. They haven't fallen silent or quit prophesying, sometimes we just forget what the true spirit of prophesy is.
More revelation has been released in this dispensation, even in the last 10 years then any other time. Only in the ministry of Jesus Christ has there been more direct changes to the church on the name of God.
This was a hilarious moment. I'll remember this one for A LONG TIME. X3
I'm not LDS anymore but I do fondly remember Thomas S. Monson, good man with a good heart.
Yeah, I'm an Ex too, and I came back just for this.

Classic story. I think the kid was taking the advice "follow the Prophet" a bit too literally.

They should all be famous stand up comedians but they have their standards and morals and are way too busy doing other things.
