I love the way in Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum we get the unmistakable impression of a child who wants to finish up these exercises ASAP so he or she can go outside and play. I've never heard these pieces played by anyone else with the same elan as Debussy himself brings to them. (But of course, that's to be expected.) Many thanks for posting this.
