I recently bought an inexpensive trench coat, London Fog brand via Amazon, and initially it looked quite cheap. I used my usual upgrading trick, first steaming the lining, then carefully ironing the outside (belt, too), now it looks like I paid $300, not $120 for it. (This brand used to make great trench coats, but they have degraded their fabrics and construction. I have old ones from them that are excellent, I just wanted an additional color).
Good tips, but I mid-heel shoes are far classier, especially for day time. Two Old Money rules include: no high heels or diamonds for daytime. The restriction of wearing white during the summer only is not one of these, pure white is worn year-round.
I feel many people underestimate the importance of washing your clothes and ironing/steaming them. I always steam my clothes that wrinkle straight after washing them before I put them into my wardrobe. I recently even steamed my lounge trousers as I couldn't stand wear it all day wrinkles, even though just at home 😊
I prefer silver jewelry (compliments my skin tone better), but the tips are wonderful.

I like a nice wedge. It's comfortable and there is beauty in comfort. Not into hats, otherwise, great tips.
