Considering what is supplied in the box this may make a very good buy for someone trying IEMs out. Is it dull sounding compared to the popular cheap models or is it dull compared to a CA Andromeda? First thing many people do with their first IEM is change the cable, this one has a decent one, although the Final tips don't fit they can cost about $20 for a set so could be used in future. Then there are the two dongles which many people buy now. If this is a well made IEM, unlike the two $150 models I started out with, then it seems like a good deal. It looks gorgeous too which can't be said for many cheap IEMs.
I’ve been using them for a few months, and yes the sound is really meh for the 200$ price. The only redeeming aspect of it is it’s oustanding beauty. When wearing them, think of it as if it was jewelry
hey max, did you try any planar magnetics inears? I once had a hifiman he-6 and I would like a portable version of it (with really clean, deep, even bass)
Yup, agreed regarding the reviewing paradigm. I didn’t think the Freya were as bad as some people made them out to be, but they’re definitely pretty mediocre which almost makes it worse haha.
Hello Max perhaps you should list down the equipment use during review because I believe sometimes as viewer may disagree your comment on the IEMs performance.
Love how Kinera design the packaging and looks of their IEMs. Aesthetically they look so beautiful!!
Now I'm kinda happy that i bought CFA Satsuma and not the Freya 🙂

Thanks for the great review! Talking about stunning looking IEMs, do you have an opinion about the UM MEST?
Pretty sure they take a bunch of measurements and find a shape that is compatible with most of them. Not just one CIEM. Great review tho!
any plans on the moondrop S8?
At the moment no, but would love to check it out if given the opportunity.

Absolutely. It isn't bad at all, just "meh"
