David Arnold helped the James Bond franchise make a smooth transition into the 90’s and left just enough bump for the music to continue into the next era. Absolutely spectacular job with the Bond franchise.
Every time you think the song might be ending there's a new and different part to enjoy, right up until the very end. And when the Bond theme kicks in... 🔥🔥🔥
This is my favourite action scene from any Bond movie. Lots of explosions and crashes, it's humourous, all practical, has a magnificent soundtrack and that wheel spin is awesome.
My favorite part was in the "making of" video. the man who did the music was obviously a huge Bond fan. While he was talking about the music in this sequence, the movie is playing off to the side. He is SO into the movie that he stops talking and starts watching the film!!! He must have seen it a hundred times already, but he still can't get enough.
This was absolutely one of the best Bond films, though. The action is non-stop and really cool thanks to its inclusion of some Hong Kong style martial arts due to Michelle Yeoh's involvement. And the whole plot about a news mogul controlling what people know ended up coming true more than a lot of people may have thought. Fake news now rules our society.
@@billywashere6965 I don't get why the reviews aren't higher, fine the script isn't great and it isn't perfect but yeah.. its a BLAST. Halfway through with my gf who hasn't seen it, its just packed with good stuff. A fine Bond movie indeed. Haven't even got to the China part yet..
@@harryherman5371 Yep, it's one of the few Bond films you can watch and rewatch again and still be impressed with how awesome the action is, how great the cinematography looks, and how intense Brosnan is as Bond. Can't say the same for trash like The World Is Not Enough.
@@billywashere6965 Haha I can't agree, TWINE was a childhood movie and I went to the boat chase set in the restaurant, and saw Pierce in the boat - massive soft spot. @@harryherman5371 lol I suppose we just have some different tastes based on some varying experiences with Bond. I tried giving The World Is Not Enough another try but it just wasn't for me. The boat chase -- from what I remember -- was cool, but the plot was kind of flimsy and the main villain a bit too weak. Die Another Day is interesting because I love the henchman played by Rick Yune, and the chase scene around the ice fortress was kind of cool. But yeah, the movie was a mess. The fencing scene was also pretty neat.

He might have gotten one eventually, if they had kept David Arnold post-Quantum of Solace. Not that I dislike what Thomas Newman and Hans Zimmer wrote for the newest three movies, but *this* simply is on another level entirely.
@@thefinnpool1468 Yeah, but all the stuff inside the car park was actually filmed at Brent Cross shopping centre in north London, which had just built a new multi-storey car park but hadn’t opened it to the public yet.
Along with White Knight, easily one of the best Bond sequences ever. David Arnold, you sir, are a legend x And does anyone else think that guy with the rocket launcher looks a bit like Michael Schumacher?
Bellissima questa colonna sonora di jamas bond la scena del garage quando scappa con la sua BMW 750 guida col telecomando del cellulare inseguito da 2 Mercedes s 560 che scena spettacolare dei migliori film di jamas bond

Don't forget to Credit the Propellerheads who co-wrote the song with Arnold

It's a shame the whole TND soundtrack isn't in there.. just the theme

Makes me wish that kd lang's song should've been used as the main theme more than ever.
Everytime I watch the movie, I mute the tv during the title sequence and play Surrender on my phone. It syncs so well.

Adieu is used when it's likely you'll never see that person again, or at least for a long time.
And straighten tie. Brosnan style
2:30 Love the piano riff!
Oh yes!
Got to say the brosnan era brought the best chases
I love this 007 Song.
That techno bassline at the beginning rocks!
Any band who makes this music is epic propellerheads rock

Propellerheads rock!
01:30- (01:38) K.D Lang "Surender"'s theme.
It's David Arnold's theme (white knight theme), K.D Lang worked with his melody (the same melody appears in ID4 which Arnold also did).
Must be hard to make something new out of the 007 theme so I think these guys did a great job

As much as I do like Craig's films, none of the scores can come close to the Brosnan era (and I include Eric Serra's work in that)
The Serra score is an embarrassment not only compared to the Craig scores but most film scores in general.
