Mule Deer Bowhunt with a Mouth Tab | Summer Bucks and Summer Sausage

- With a wrist injury keeping me in a cast and unable to use my hand for most of the hunting season, I refused to let the setback affect my ability to bowhunt. So, I learned to draw and shoot the bow with my mouth. I then headed out on my favorite hunt of the year, early season mule deer in Nevada to chase one of the most challenging animals with a bow. When successful on this early season hunt, I like to make summer sausage with the venison to take on my other hunts throughout the year. With my last bit of summer sausage from last year, I am hopeful that I will connect on a summer buck.

It still blows my mind that you can shoot so accurately with the mouth tab. That is true dedication to the sport. Kudos to you Remi.
What’s a mouth tab?
This year my partner and I started hunting. He harvested his first bull elk, antelope, and whitetail buck. I harvested my first animal ever, a buck antelope. We’ve processed all of our meat ourselves and it was hard, but we’ve never felt more connected and grateful with our food. Remi has been the match that lit our hunting fire. With the podcast episodes and videos, we’ve learned so much from you. Thank you!
