My daily routine is finishing up work, fixing dinner and then watching the new TCB video. As someone who cannot travel, thank you for taking us along on your adventures. The train trip has definitely been one of my recent favorite "road trips". Be safe and have a great rest of the journey!
Mr CarpetBagger! My name is Scott! I was the fan that cheered for you on the Monorail Platform!! Hope you are having a great time! I am actually in the nose cone of the monorail on approach! Hahaha! I wish I could have met you, but the barrier was probably best… (mighta treated you like a Beatle! Or Mickey Mouse) anyway. I’m star struck! Gosh! I’m watching! Travel Safe!
“That’ll do horse. That’ll do.” I love how you reference the movie “Babe” every time you say that to a carousel animal (love that movie btw; one of my favorites). ❤
Thank you for your videos. My wife, teenage daughter and myself don't agree on any content but yours. For 30 minutes to an hour each day you bring our family together.
Love the monorail ride. Two more possible future modes of transportation: you can ride in a helicopter in Hawaii, and in So California we have a blimp that takes passengers.
You guys, YOU GUYS! I was getting off the monorail while Jacob was getting on! The Carpetbagger Sighting in the actual wild! I’m star struck! You guys you guys!!! He looks just like he does on TV! Squeeee! Made my whole day!
I’m a Brit and I love visiting Seattle. So lovely to see the places you’ve been to there. The Chihuli Glass and gardens near the Space Needle is amazing. I also love getting the ferry as a foot passenger over to Bremerton for a few hours walk around - I actually saw a humpback whale in the Sound last May. Loving your train trip and seeing your pure joy of being onboard!
I can't believe you made it to the pier! That's some serious hustle. I've walked that same route multiple times and it is not short. In the future, that white and orange public storage building had free parking next to it. The only place I know of in that area. Idk if you still can but if you come back with a car it's worth a look.
I recently ran into your channel and I'm really enjoying this trip. After you reach Chicago I'm going to watch your other vids. I plan on riding the Empire builder soon. I'm a recent widow so I'm trying to learn to navigate solo travel. I find that I have developed social anxiety which is new for me. I do ok traveling solo but when you said you didn't remember where to find the monorail my heart dropped. If I know exactly where I'm going I'm good but if I had to ask someone for directions or help I would be too mortified to speak. Hopefully your vids will help me in that dpt. Safe travels!
Good for you for pursuing solo travel, I hope you love it! As a longtime solo, my tip for you is to get familiar with Google maps. Go to the downtown in your area or the nearest big city you're comfortable in, and use google maps to help you get to different landmarks by using the different icons for walking, car, bus, etc. That way you know how it works and the same will apply for any city/town you end up in. I've used it all over the world and its very reliable. I used to have to bring maps and ask people for directions, and that is so rare these days. Good luck and best wishes to you.
Hi Jacob, First I want to say thank you for your travels, I have fibromyalgia so I am unable to do much of anything but I feel like that I have been traveling with your channel.. Second just curious as to what you use as a video to tape your content. Thank you again and hello from Virginia Beach.
Thank you for taking us along on your travels. We are planning on taking a similar trip on amtrak this spring. If possible could include some of the cost like museums, foods, Excursions etc. so we might have an idea of cost. Have you ever thought about traveling by horse-and-buggy?Maybe in the amish community. Thanks again!!
Thank you Jacob for taking me on your trip so far it's been really neat I never been to the West Coast I've been to the East Coast keep up the good work
Thanks for to tour of Seattle. I was in Seattle 8 years ago and brings back memories of a great trip to Washington state. When i stayed in Seattle I also had no car. I was nice to to worry about having a car. I used public transportation.
I'm so happy you enjoyed our city of Seattle. Wished I could have met you while you were in town, perhaps next time for a cold drink & not a coffee.🙏🙏😊😊, Safe travels back home.
A lot of things to do there. Love the monorail. There was a cool, amusement park below the space needle. I don't see it on google maps anymore. 😕 Another victim of the economy or something? Took the ferry to Bremerton on our way south which was awesome! I got a break from driving and we were on the water. Next time visit; "Ivars Fish Bar" if you haven't already. The fast food of sea food. There may better of it's kind but it's an institution. Next to pier 54. Cheers. 👍
Morning Jacob 🤓📸 the carpetbagger, thanks for sharing this adventure in Seattle. Take care my friend. Hope Jenny is doing well to do more videos, I'll be happy to see her again.
I was in Seattle in 1968 with my mom and grandparents. They took turns driving from South Central PA to get there. We did the boat ride to see the Naval ships. My grandmother slipped and fell walking down the gang plank. I grabbed her purse and saved it from falling in the water. However, I stood there twirling her purse around. She yelled, get my purse away from her. All our money is in there.
Jacob I’ve been watching you since literally the yard sale days lol. I think even prior to that I’m an OG bagger and this series of the train rides has been very interesting and really enjoyable. I think these videos have been something completely different than your norm because it caused you too slow down so we’ve seen things you may have not done otherwise. Usually you have your car and you’re on a set mission. But this has forced you to have no car which has forced you to slow down. So seeing these things in these city’s that you’ve never done before has been really awesome. I think you should do more of this.
Awesome adventure Jacob !!! Loved the Aquarium, the Museum, the boat cruise & the Ferris Wheel !!! Can't forget the cool 😎 Monorail !!! Thanks for taking us along with you to all those awesome places in Seattle !!! 🙂🤠
Jacob- I’ve been enjoying your travel videos. I really appreciate your views from the Ferris wheels at sunset. I don’t ride Ferris wheels myself, but you have truly captured some beautiful footage from these vantage points! I am also amazed at how much you cover in a day. I travel vicariously through you. Thank you for such wonderful experiences!
I've been just letting your videos play back to back on my TV after work for 3 days. I like that I don't have to worry about leaving the room with my kids watching. Family friendly, educational and fun. ✊🏻👏🏻 🩵
Good morning Jacob. Liked your videos and vloggs in Seattle, Washington. You had a good view of T Mobile Park where the Seattle Mariners baseball ⚾️ team play and the Lumen Field where the Seattle Seahawks 🏈 football team play.
Word of advice on automotive ferries. If the weather is rough at all, do NOT take one. Because of the way they are constructed you get a LOT of movement and even if you're not normally prone to seasickness, that could easily change.
The Captain of the boat we took to see underwater ship wrecks in the northern part of Michigan last summer also told us the fires in Canada made the clouds n colours of the sky more intense. As far away as the Canadian fires were they said the day we were there was the first time they had clear skies that weren't hazy in weeks!!!
I am loving your videos on this trip!!!! You are doing a fantastic job showcasing first San Francisco and now Seattle. You asked about Ferris wheels. Kansas City, MO now has a big Ferris wheel!!! I haven’t ridden it yet but will some day!
some guy cut a whole in a mirror and put the camera lens in the whole , so when the animal looks at you they see them selves and come look and the images are vary cool . something to try . your doing a fine job keep it up .
I'm so glad you found the Old Pirate machine, I was gutted that I didn't have any cash on me when I was in Seattle and I hoped you'd find him! Really enjoying your Seattle adventures!

I just love your recent content on the Amtrak trains, and your overnight stops in San Fran and Seattle so far. I visited San Fran back in 2015 for business, and had a blast, and would love to revisit the city via Amtrak. You have reignited my travel juices, Jacob! thank you!
Thank you Jacob another interesting vlog. I am a bit afraid of big wheels, as i am afraid of heights.i was so impressed by Jen when she went on the big wheel that shoots forward every so often. Yikes!!!!! Looking forwards to the next adventure. Bev 🇬🇧
I used the Bremerton ferry for years to get to Seahawks game. It's a very unique experience, tailgate on the water. I recently moved to Central Florida so nice to see your video!

Really enjoying this round of videos! Such a beautiful area! The Crap Pot was a great restaurant when we visited 10 years ago! Whenever you come back with your car, take the ferry to Bainbridge Island, it’s absolutely gorgeous!
So exciting to see you experiencing my stomping ground. I work a block from Ye Old Curiosity Shoppe. You can see my building at 7:10 (to the left of the big, white parking garage.) I had considered heading down to try and meet you, but even if I did find you, it'd just be awkward for everyone. Thanks for visiting Seattle and I hope you come back again, there's lots more than just the waterfront and Seattle Center.
Thanks so much Jacob for taking us along on this fun filled day in Seattle ❤ I've smiled through the whole video....now my cheeks are sore. Haha. Safe travels our dear friend. ✌️❤️🙂
Jacob, when you come back, take your car on the ferry to Bainbridge Island. It's about 30 minute ride and a sweet town and area to explore. Then drive to Bremerton. There is a cool museum right near the ferry terminal you might enjoy. The ferry ride back to Seattle is about an hour, but the scenery is different, and when it makes the turn aiming to Seattle, you get some beautiful views of the city! Hopefully, the mountain (Mt. Rainier) will be out for you again! Fun fact about The Edgewater. The Beatles stayed there the first time they came to Seattle. One of them tried fishing out the window! I'm sure someone can help with the year and who did the fishing. I hope while you were in town you got to see the city at night. It is absolutely beautiful all lit up!! My favorite city!! ❤
